I'm baffled personally. What the mayor has requested is literally what the neighborhood watch does. He said to write down license plate numbers and to give them to the police. This is pretty basic neighborhood security type of stuff, but it blindsided Antifa so hard that they're claiming that atomwaffen death squads will kill every single one of them.

The 'brother' was Scuffed Justin Carrey, more friend with benefits than sibling. That DC riot stream might be still up on his channel, or out there on yt in some form. I have (part of) it saved on my computer. It was a lovely bit of much needed comic relief after watching the BLM madness.

Maybe you shouldn't be reporting things as "facts" if you're not 100% sure of what you're reporting.

The problem is that media outlets want to be the first to "scoop" a breaking story that they often do so without do any sort of legitimate fact-checking or verification. Worse, they're quick to brush off or memory-hole any criticisms when what they reported before anyone else did turns out to be grossly inaccurate.

It doesn't help that there are no apparent repercussions for this sort of irresponsible journalism.

Instead of bullets, cops should just instead carry those beanbag guns and just knock the fuck out of people

The only problem is that protestors and activists in some areas have convinced judges to issue injunctions against less-lethal alternatives. I believe just a week or two ago, this happened someplace in Minnesota. I guess the protestors don't realize that taking away the less lethal options leaves only live bullets instead.

Also, others have already posted that some less lethal options such as bean bags and tasers aren't always effective -- especially on people in any sort of rage or adrenaline surge.

To my understanding the jury was only fully sequestered for the verdict deliberation. They should have been fully sequestered for the entire fucking case, it's baffling to me that they weren't.

Yeah, I don't understand why the jury wasn't sequestered from start to finish of the trial given how high profile this case was and the potential for them to be subject to targeted harassment if they gave the "wrong" verdict. This wasn't a typical garden-variety case involving a literally who defendant. This was an incident that made (inter?) national news and had all sorts of eyes on it.
