If he'd just kept it consistent, he'd be doing great. He could probably be at some Nostalgia Chick level money now if he hadn't just given up and laid down to rot.

With the video route, it may as well been a great idea once you had some ways they could monetize on their videos of doing gameplay footage and cracking a joke and a skit. It was a new field and for someone like Spoony he managed to at least stand out from all the other angry critics that were copying some style of the AVGN. Getting signed onto TGWTG likely helped him rake in some money until Blip died, the site losing the viewers it had, and Noah being let go. If he did keep himself consistent, he'd keep relevancy and an audience that didn't come from looking at what remains of the slow burning wreck of his internet career. Then again, he could still find a way to fuck it up since even back then he was something of an ass to his own fans back when he had a girlfriend and made her a mod for his forum.Maybe he was being overdramatic and joking but I thought Spoonys old job got outsourced? I remember a big dramatic moment in one of his videos where talks about how his CS degree was rendered worthless when tech jobs were constantly being outsourced to India/China.
I imagine going the video route back then was actually a great idea. The field was less crowded with creators and money flowed a lot more freely, especially since they had both YT and Blip to harvest it from. Shit, like it's been mentioned Spoonys patreon hit 5K. Most other CAs veterans Patreons aren't even close to that now. Linkaras is at like 3K and he's been at it just as long as Spoony has.

To be fair, working IT in the early 2000's would have been a bitch. There might have been places still running vampire taps. That was always an excuse. By his own admission he hated working in IT (and as we all know, working in general) and was considering moving overseas to teach English before The Spoony Experiment kind of fell on his lap as a job.
How do you know he doesn't have a new Dremel? We'd only know if someone steals it.Doing my monthly check-in on some low-tier lolcows......looks like nothing has changed for Spoony. Big shock.
I have a huge soft spot for the Phantasmagoria games so thanksFor anyone interested, Conversations with Curtis: Episode 1 is up. Paul seems like a really nice guy (unlike the Spoonster). He does actually mention Spoony around the 20 minute mark. Apparently he was flooded with "I Heard That Curtis" messages back then.
What are the odds Spoony will actually be on an episode of this? I'd say a 5 percent chance.

He's liked a tweet about it. He just doesn't care. Why anyone still thinks he'd be even remotely interested in doing anything besides stewing in his juices is beyond me. He's shut down or ignored every offer he's ever received for years now.Has anyone tweeted it to him? Otherwise he probably doesn't even know it exists.
She said in September that she is too broke to donate.Has it ever been determined if Warthog donates to Spoony's Patreon?
She needs Spoony's donation money for more Mulan necklaces.Hard to donate when you eat enough food for four people.
クジラは魚を追いかけ、月明かりの夜に無理矢理食い尽くします。And she's going to play the whole Yakuza series in her homeless shelter.
While training to be a pro wrestler, of course.
