Mounting to a roof is not ideal even if the roof is southern facing. The point of mounts is to get the panels near an optimum angle and some mounts let you change the angle to account for seasonal change. Most of the the Tranch's southern facing roof area is a stupid dome, so they had limited options.
Maybe they wanna be Rooftop Trancharians to defend their land from Earl(s).

They’re on a tweeting rampage rn holy shit. Here's what they have so far. They also finished it off with plugging etsy and Patreon
The vid of the alpacas walking and these detailed pics seems like great analysis material for their health. Im not a kiwifarmer who has actually worked on a farm, so can someone who has gleam some info about their health?

Yum-yum. Is this a 23 year old Grace Kelly? Don't think I've ever seen this bird on the tranch.

Nothing says grassroots anti-capitalism like turning a business that preys on the goodwill of unwitting donors into a full blown Ponzi scheme.
"Co-signing loans". As if any of them have good enough credit to be co-signing other troon ranches, they'll have to put up some collateral. We have another possible tranch dies scenario, making extremely unwise co-signing decisions based on nothing but the other party being mentally ill guys who've cut their balls off.

Exactly how profitable is it to raise alpacas anyway? The tranch is the complete opposite of a successful business model. Are they going to teach others how to sell overpriced, straw matted, stank looking alpaca yarn?

Or is their vision to teach the other troonities how to use an alpaca farm as a front to siphon $ from dumbass donors?
They’re certainly experts at that.

Alpaca farming is pretty much a pyramid scheme. The only thing they're good for is their wool but it's a fuck ton cheaper to have some beaner in South America harvest the wool. The only animal worth raising these days is babies. John of God was charging $40,000 a pop for one of his rape babies, and they were brazilian monkey babies. If you start selling white babies you'll have every pedo billionaire throwing cash at you.

Nothing says good decision quite like co-signing a loan for someone mentally unstable who then immediately defaults on it, torpedoing your own credit score in the process. Truly the tranch are business savants.

I love seeing them buy shit like Larue mounts. Larue sends you swag like bumper stickers that just say Ultraconservative with your order. Why do they support manufacturers who'd actually like to see them dead instead of trans companies? That looks like a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x. So this dude bought a $200 mount to put a $300 scope in. Vortex makes fine budget scopes along with top tier high end scopes, but why not put it on something like $90 Aero mount? They aren't shooting at ranges that require any real precision out of their scope or mount and anyone who is serious about precision shooting wouldn't use a Larue mount anyway.

Because they don't know what the hell they're doing. Phil probably just knows LaRue because some of their equipment has been issued before. Their M68 CCO mounts are way better than Aimpoints.

It may be a stretch to suppose there's any rationality to their business model, but the alpaca expenses could be considered part of the advertising budget.

The only somewhat realish business they have is begging, and all else must be seen in that light.

For the purpose of this analysis I am disregarding randomness, insanity, etc.

Here is an article going into it. when-the-great-alpaca-bubble-burst.

TLDR- They were never profitable other then as a tax shelter, or a pyramid scheme. Speculative market for fiber kept people buying them, or as a way to count as a small farm and dodge income tax.

The lack of imports meant a kind of pyramid scheme with breeding more alpacas to sell to people who wanted in, who would them breed more alpacas to sell to suckers. Someone published an article about how it was all a bubble, which caused it to burst.

Worth noting that this isn't recent, as the bubble burst back in 2006.
