Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

A 13 year old girl died after contracting covid, and the news breathlessly reported on what an awful tragedy it was and how covid is surely ravaging young people as well as old. But none of the news articles actually say she died from covid. In fact, they all seem to go out of their way to avoid including the cause of the girl's death, weaseling around that fact by just stating she died after testing positive for covid and then blathering on about the tragedy of it. She could have been killed by anything, probably except covid because if she had actually died of covid the media wouldn'tshut up about it. Here's an example:

It is obvious propaganda to me, but there are still people out there fooled by these stories.
I'd give you a late rating but deer leader says otherwise.

We already determined the cause of the death as fat+covid. Scroll up for a picture of that poor gorl fed to death by her parents.

Something about this story seems weirdly sinister to me. I know she was morbidly obese for her age but the way the father talks about her in some articles really gives me a super uncomfortable feeling.

The fact that he just gave her tylenol and encouraged her to eat and drink but didn't call the hospital even when she was obviously struggling to breathe, knowing his wife was admitted and sick with covid, does not sit right with me.
She would not be the first child killed by medical neglect of a parent.

I do not believe covid had anything to do with her death at all.

Yes.
Its like blue states are more likely to inflate and exaggerate their numbers to justify their continued policies or something.
It is truly a mystery why such a country might have issues with disease.

You know westerners like to rip on India for the caste system and treating certain groups as "untouchable" but then when you find out this bottom caste lives in a constant state of diarrhea and doesn't wash their hands or bathe in clean water its like "well, would you touch them?"
I do not believe covid had anything to do with her death at all.
What's sad is it wouldn't be the first time that a child was killed by a caretaker, either through neglect or intent, and the media fucking reported it as "COVID Death!"

There was a child death in MN too. Can't find pictures to see if she was fat, but she was 10 years old and in the first grade still. It sounds like she was someone's extra special little girl.

How can one be held back in first grade for four years? I don't buy the case that she was healthy or normal. The previous case where a kid died the kid had like eight different cancers.

India is getting hit hard and it's easy to see why.

Terrible medical infrastructure, mass overpopulation in cities, extreme demand for supplies with lack of supply, sedentary lifestyle, love of American fast food, and let's not forget their hygiene that's been memed to death and back.

It should be no surprise to see the caseload India has. The country is a Petri dish.

Stanford revealed masks don't work and now MIT revealed distancing yourself from others indoors doesn't work either regardless of the length.

End the madness! End! End!
I want to see links on this. Sounds like the truth, but they'll probably mention something about "fact checkers" and downplay it.

If you haven't become a die-hard Empiricist by now, there's no hope for you. I wear a monocle and have a wax stamp that says "Experimental Scientist", tbh most of my studies are concerned with why are American bitches so DUMB rather than China Virus, but the point stands. John Locke would be disappoint in people today.

Seriously though, I think it's better and more honest to just say you dunno at this point rather than using extremely suspect data from extremelier suspect people to draw (extremely specific) conclusions. That's where the doomers and very smarts are wrong, their fundamentals are shot. I may dunno exactly what and how much China Virus kills, but I know that it's not particularly dangerous through simple empirical observation and anecdotal evidence. Making decisive claims about how we should behave, policy, masks, lockdowns, and so on like doomers continue to do is pretty silly.
Because their programing tells them that the empirical evidence is in spite of COVIDs deadliness, not because of.

"Oh well deaths are ackychually UNDER-REPORTED!"
"The mortality rate is only so low BECAUSE OF the restrictions!"
"Its only that low, FOR NOW, wait until it kills more people!"
...and so on, and so forth.
Do they really know? For example, I actually know that the virus had little effect on me, that it had little effect on others in my circle who encompass a fairly wide spectrum of ages and health conditions, and that it failed to kill my 82 year old diabetic, heart diseased grandma... who also refused to go to the doctor for like a week and arrived with 80% double pneumonia.

I am confident in my knowledge. I do not need to lecture anyone, I do not need to invent scenarios in my head. In fact, I don't really think about China Virus at all.
They view the virus with a more devout fear than religious people do about hell, only there aren't tens of millions of people saying "yo I went to hell, it ain't that bad".

Long term effects? Reinfection? They aren't statistically low-risk chances, they are guarantees to these people.
Even learning you caught COVID, no matter how mild it was for you, they still call you "an idiot" and treat you like a sinner.

I would also consider handicapping coof deaths in India like anywhere else, against financial incentives to list motorcycle crashes as covid multiplied by local corruption

Hm. Numbers have been stagnating here for three weeks or so. "New infections" hasn't trended on Twitter in several days, and the Branch Covidians are now complaining that by June the vaccination priorisation is gonna be stopped and everyone can apply for vaccination appointment. Somehow there are still untold millions of chronically ill diabetes riddled cripples out there. Also, complaints that pregnant women are highly at risk and are not allowed to get vaccinated, despite no adverse effects having been shown anywhere. Nope, no miscarriages happened anywhere.
I'd really love the vaccinations to have some serious long term side effects. Miscarriages, infertility, full blown Creutzfeldt-Jacob. Something to seriously fuck over millions of people. Bring the rage at TPTB to beyond boiling point, and one pebble will create an explosion. Sometimes I think that's the only way there'll ever be hope and freedom again. In Minecraft, that is. In real life we'll just have to rely on our tried and true democratic processes.
*looks at the upcoming election in Germany and how the media propaganda is already pushing the Green candidate*
On the other hand, that shotgun barrel looks pretty tasty.

Talk about giving back basic rights to vaccinated people are also going on.
Like so many other things it'll be loaded off to private institutions and company policy.
"Hey, they're private companies, they can decide who uses their services, I thought you liked the free market like that. It's not censorship if a private company decides you can't say things on their platform. It's not restriction of your freedom if private companies prevent you from entering their stores without mask or vaccination. It's not discrimination if companies won't hire if you are not vaccinated."

What irks me most about this move towards putting "recovered" and fully vaxxed people into the same bracket as "healthy, with negative covid test" or even elevating them one step above with not having to go in quarantine is that they can't seem to make up their minds. One minute they say "oh, make no mistake, we need to wear the masks and distance even after the shot" but then they act like vaxxed people are clean all of a sudden and can't possibly spread the disease. It's almost as if they make shit up as they go ;)

Also, it's a big fuck you to everybody who did their best to not catch the virus (= stuck to the rules) and now you're left with "well, should've been an idiot and got da coof. Enjoy your lockdown, motherfucker!"

Anyone else remember when India started using the Covaxin "vaccine" even though it hadn't been fully approved? They also made a shitton on vaccines to ship globally.

This coming from a total fucking shithole whose people don't wash their hands with soap, who sit and piss in the streets and who are happy to put up with that because the elected officials and people who run public life are bribeable as fuck.

Let India fall, let it rot, leave it for 30 years, then pack the Brits back in to sort it out. The place is a fucking stain and letting them drop deal will solve a lot of humanity's ills - take out a massive polluter, smite fuck out of the scam call centers and remove a burden from first world countries they try to flee to. I am all for it.

Naw, I'm pretty sure that title goes to Rhodesia, all things considered.

Seriously though, it's interesting where I live as there's a fairly big Indian community, and a lot of the older people, those who originally came over here and settled, say that they wanted to leave India after the British withdrew because things became far worse. That's not to say it was "better" under the Brits, but it was worse after Independence. India is a failure all round, and that's a culmination of many factors. Partly the British occupation, but partly because of the culture of bribery, corruption, abysmal infrastructure and the caste system to name a very few.

Oh gosh yeah! Actually, that whole thing was "funny" (not haha, just an odd coincidence) because I remember being in school and learning about the hyperinflation in the Weimar Republic and being told by a teacher "we will never see anything like that again in our lifetimes". Funny how that worked out.

I'm not saying the British occupation of India was a good thing, but less shit is still better than shit, and the media are whipping up the whole fuckshow in India without taking it into context. And the context is, it is a poorly run, abysmally managed country with crappy hygiene among the majority of the population, poor sanitation overall, shitty healthcare that is at the mercy of suppliers who price gouge and a population who don't care about any of that.

i remember hearing a story about how the indians tried to jew the brits. you see their was a cobra problem in india. the british decided to pay the indians money for any cobras they find and kill. simple enough. then the motherfuckin indians decided to jew the brits and started cobra farms. once they found out about it, they cancelled the program.
