When Jewel has these episodes are they caused by some sort of mental illness or a drug-induced psychosis, or both? Has she ever mentioned a particular diagnosis?

Based on things said in passing from Attila and the police guy who recognized her, she has bipolar disorder and at this time she's in a manic state to the point of psychosis, delusions of grandeur (i had a billion dollar biz), and regular ol paranoia/delusions (he's trying to steal my organs/identity). She might have schizophrenia too. Hard to tell with these types. Probably Histrionic and Borderline personality disorder as well.
Here's the criteria of both diagnoses. They both list Jewel's behavior since we've known her.
Bipolar Disorder Criteria/Warning Signs:
- high or irritated mood
- more energy and greater goal-driven activity
- elevated self-esteem or grandiosity
- reduced sleep
- higher than usual frequency of talking
- rapid speech flow and flights of ideas or racing thoughts
- being easily distracted
- regular impulses for pleasurable experiences, such as shopping or sex, without understanding the consequences
Schizophrenia Criteria/Warning Signs:
- Depression, social withdrawal (she hates going out and when in her "down" mood swings she def doesn't want to see anyone or go anywhere - even the grocery store)
- Hostility or suspiciousness, extreme reaction to criticism
- Deterioration of personal hygiene (Doesn't shower for days or more as per Attila and her greasy hair)
- Flat, expressionless gaze (Dead eyes, no expression when in her down mood swings)
- Inability to cry or express joy or inappropriate laughter or crying
- Oversleeping or insomnia; forgetful, unable to concentrate
- Odd or irrational statements; strange use of words or way of speaking
Borderline Personality Disorder:
- An intense fear of abandonment, even going to extreme measures to avoid real or imagined separation or rejection
- A pattern of unstable intense relationships, such as idealizing someone one moment and then suddenly believing the person doesn't care enough or is cruel
- Rapid changes in self-identity and self-image that include shifting goals and values, and seeing yourself as bad or as if you don't exist at all
- Periods of stress-related paranoia and loss of contact with reality, lasting from a few minutes to a few hours
- Impulsive and risky behavior, such as gambling, reckless driving, unsafe sex, spending sprees, binge eating or drug abuse, or sabotaging success by suddenly quitting a good job or ending a positive relationship
- Suicidal threats or behavior or self-injury, often in response to fear of separation or rejection
- Wide mood swings lasting from a few hours to a few days, which can include intense happiness, irritability, shame or anxiety
- Ongoing feelings of emptiness
- Inappropriate, intense anger, such as frequently losing your temper, being sarcastic or bitter, or having physical fights
