Boogie is definitely a pedophile. Not sure how to explain it best, but all of the right techniques and mannerisms are there.
Pedophiles are quick to bring up a mountain of reasons to justify their actions, and all of these reasons attempt to put the honus of responsibility onto anyone other than themselves. "She looked 18" quickly turns into "The laws aren't representative of human sexual maturity" to "I can't help if my biology says that I want to diddle kids, and plus, its society's fault! Look at the little girls in beauty pageants!" and then into "It wasn't my fault, the 12 year old seduced me! I tried as hard as I could not to be attracted to children but it was the child's fault!"
Boogie already does this intense blame dodging game about everything else in his life- his interactions with other people, his relationships, and his weight. He definitely feels some degree of guilt for eating like the fatass he is, but he doesn't have the willpower to stop, so he keeps failing to lose weight and succeeding in coming up with new lies and excuses. He's trying to go about life pretending that everything is everyone else's fault, just to avoid feeling in any way to blame for anything he does. This would make the way he brings up his parents being abusive often make sense: to put the blame for Boogie being a pedophile onto the cycle of abuse, and not his own actions.
