I got sick of Jim a few years ago when he left my tolerable level of lefty. I used to like him, but he kept sliding left, started to feel like he was just repeating himself, stopped putting in effort, felt lazy, and his politics started to feel more invasive as time went on. Him being not quite straight? Yeah, and rabbits fuck. Him being a literal cuck? Basically just waiting for him to put it in his bio. but suddenly he's a fucking troon? That took me off guard.

I have grown FURTHER right leaning, but I still watch him. He is more tolerable than john oliver...I used to like that show, now I can't even watch the investigative reporting sections on industries because its so bad; him cracking jokes non stop without a laugh track is eye opening.

Jim comes to his senses when he goes too far( (sorta). Like his outriders bitch fest, he eventually gives a leveled response ending with "ima get a refund and thats that, we are done now."
Him constantly bitching and moaning about lootboxes and gambling mechanics. I am all for. Good for him honestly. He is one of the very few people I am aware of that truly deserves a "told you so". The next one is tim pool in regards to legislature being created to counter big tech.

Jim keeps comparing this to the gacha/lootbox shit directly, but it's literally just a fucking Luigi edition of a lego mario board game. Luigi isn't some random chance thing you have to "go and buy all the lego boxes" to have a chance to find like jim fucking frames it as. If people end up buying both it more than likely means just that they want both the Mario and Luigi figures, and with how these board game sets are constructed you can use parts from both to make custom layouts. People buy Lego specifically to sell the individual parts for a fraction of the sets actual cost, if someone REALLY wanted a Lego Luigi but didn't want to pay 60 dollars for an entire extra lego game board, they can literally just go to any secondary market and get him for a much less hefty price. There actually ARE some blindboxed figures but they're all inconsequential generic enemy characters and they run about 3 to 5 dollars depending on where you buy them from. This whole video reeks of low effort 0 research outrage farming.

Something I've noticed about Jim over the years is that he seems desperate to be the person to first report on a game industry controversy. Most of his controversies are big flops that no one cares about but sometimes he hits it big, the most known being his coverage of steam greenlight that led to the digital homicide saga.

It's basically been a steady decline since, as no one outside of his fans have cared about any controversy he's tried to drum up. His latest attempt was last year when he was sperging about that Ubisoft mobile game using the raised fist symbol negatively and that's bad because the raised fist is a symbol of black power and blm and all that. He went harder on that than any other youtuber I've seen so much to the point that he included it on his top 10 worst games list.

I think his funniest failed attempt to drum up a controversy was when he admitted on one of his podcasts that he thought his latest Jimquisitions would be a huge hit with everyone talking about what he uncovered, but it ended up flopping due to it coming out the same day h3h3 released his video covering the CS:GO Lotto controversy and that ended up being a much bigger deal than anything Jim could uncover. I can't find the episode but I swear there's audio of Jim complaining about the fact that Ethan Klein managed to find a much better gaming controversy than him and that made him sad.

Don't forget how he did a Jimquisition about the problems with Fallout 76, but some time after Internet Historian's video, and with nothing new that IH didn't cover.

Internet Historian's one of those infrequent uploaders that takes his time on everything, too. That had to be an instance of Jim just watching IH's video and remaking his own Jimquisition version.

I enjoyed Totalbiscuit's critical content, for what it was. But as the cancer started to eat him it seemed like he just gave less of a shit and projected his politics into everything. His content got me into PC gaming, and I feel like he was a net positive for the industry when he wanted to be. His purely objective, albeit older content is still worth watching, imo.

Jim, on the other hand... boy do I enjoy videos about video games always devolving into tirades about Cuh-triple-applitalisum. Not.

The two of them were at their peak when they were shitting all over actual bad practices and not inventing issues to be upset about. The Co-optional Podcast was tolerable only because TB moderated and shot down Jesse's retarded shilling. Without him there the podcast has like no charisma or charm, and the viewership dropping showed it.
