Of course that's possible. Granted, in this case, I don't see why they should necessarily care. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing the GOP should do is claim how this is just one more example of the Left abusing their powers to go after their political enemies. Beyond that why should they care? Giuliani is just an expendable 70+ year old former politician that served as a hatchet man for Trump.

In many respects it is a uniparty for certain cases (and perhaps certain politicians). One of the unwritten rules they have, or perhaps I should say they had, was : if you don't prosecute our guys, we won't prosecute your guys. That ship, however, clearly sailed during Trump, but the thing about that though is that Left and the GOP establishment were never going to bend the knee to Trump (or any one like that for that matter).
