You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

I'm Methodist (or close enough) and the church is probably going to split in 2 when the ultra libs try and ordain gay ministers in a few years. Amusingly, those ultra liberal denominations have hilariously lowber counts and seem to think that throwing away every doctrine, ounce of spine, and commandment will make the Church super cool and will increase attendence.... JESUS CHRIST what a sick joke.
They could be taking a page from those megachurches where the "sermon" is little more than a feel-good motivational speech devoid of any spiritual content and the churches themselves are so big they have snack bars and coffee shops off on the side where church-goers can order food and drink to enjoy during the service.

Given that I've known a number of young adults that actively seek out churches with traditional/conservative values presented in a modern way, you're not too far off base. All the "super cool" churches are pretty much the same: all flash with little to nothing in substance. That can only go so far and isn't too appealing for anyone wanting any sort of spirituality, doctrine, and faith-based guidance to help them get through life.

I just got into a heated argument with my boss because he gave me shitty instructions again, I followed his instructions and - oh wonder! - messed up.
At my newer job, I learned today that the sheet I was given that lists the proper sequence for filing away various forms is incorrect/incomplete. Worse, I've been given a particular file back twice because each time I try to properly re-sequence the paperwork, it somehow ends up out of order worse than it was the previous time. It's enough to make me wish I could say "I give up." and put back in the file drawer as it is now. *sigh*

Lumpers. Subhumans doing a fake job that is only justified by "muh covid."

If you want to know why groceries have gotten so expensive, learn about lumpers. Most lumping services are cash-only businesses, too, because they're a racket.
People that want everybody to keep wearing masks after everybody got their shots. They want this covid shit to continue forever. Fucking dumbasses.

At least with lumping services and curbside delivery and such, they have a monetary incentive for prolonging the madness.

So many people are doing it for free.

Curbside pickup is really nice though. Being able to order something online and then quickly go pick it up. I don't have to wait for anything to come in the mail, and I don't have to wander through crowded stores.

Any kind of training seminar, awareness session, or general time wasting knob slob cooked up by HR and related departments. What a complete fucking waste of time and resources.

Had to go in on my day off today to attend a 9 hour series of such presentations, complete with teamwork activities, droning ass PowerPoints, and faggy, pseudo-enthusiastic speeches my middle management. I also have a second day of such bullshit tomorrow.

For every one coworker who thinks such toss is useful, there are 50 who are rightfully indignant that they have to waste oxygen and brain cells, rotting in a chair and desperately contemplating suicide just to pass the time.

But, you know, human factors is a necessary part of the job.

YouTube ads but especially abrasive ads in the middle of a video which features some jack off showing off his abs trying to sell you his snake oil supplements. Also fake unboxing videos trying to mimic popular YT content and people interrupting your viewing to tell you their secret (out of the goodness of their heart) their secret to how they made a fortune doing fuck all with a positive mind set. The only way ads like this can exist is that there are enough people who are fucking dumb enough to fall for these cons again and again. How are people desperate and dumb enough to buy what some shithead in a YouTube ad is selling?

Curbside doesn't charge 80-200 dollars, payable only in cash, to do in three hours what I did myself in one hour before covid.

At one place I briefly worked at, there were periodic mandatory inservice sessions. Some were useful and informative. Others were so mind-numbingly boring that they'd put zombies to sleep once and for all.

The worst part at that place, however, was the fact that my department always had to attend the late morning inservice -- the same time of the day where I'd normally hit my groove of productivity. On these inservice days, though, it totally derailed my productivity for the rest of the day.

I'm very thankful I haven't worked at big corproations that have the mandatory periodic sensitivity/diversity training a la Starbucks. That has to be the worst of the worse.

Whistling. I fucking hate whistlers. STOP THAT SHIT. You aren't making music! You are making highly pitched noises, often based on your own, irregular patterns to annoy people around you. Also who the fuck is this happy to whistle anyway?

Fucking hate it.
People who flip out about people innocently enjoying things.
