The socialist party in my country has been doing it for three decades.

The GOP believes in gibs, gibs for the rich and corporate America and Israel.

Its only recently when Trump showed up that he tried to change the gibs target from the rich, who now fully vote Democrat, to the white working class in the rust belt as well as working class and middle class minorities.

And yet because China is able to have such low cost (and poorly treated) labor with high productivity, we’ve ended up in the situation we’re in now where everyone produces in China and they’re one of the big reasons we have such a high standard of living. The only possible solutions I see to this is either forcing China’s labour to be regulated like America, or everyone becoming like China. (Or the third option of lowering the overall standard of living, but that’s going to make a ton of people pissed off as well.)
