PCP Podcast came out yesterday; "Nostalgia Critic & Medical Fraud - The Pro Crastinators Podcast, Episode 260", 1 May 2021:
Not a lot of new insights or theories from Ben regarding Conrad, besides stressing that Conrad dealing with his gender transition does not excuse him from responsibility to his Radcon obligations for paying punters, and further ponderings regarding both the state of the supposed Ygg Crew RV and the current fate of a Blu-Ray burner drive a PCP fan donated to Conrad (and maybe even sold during the yard sale).
However, one voicemail, the last one played, titled
"/Everybody/Wants to Rule the World" (thank you whoever submitted this one; I thought Ben would want to actively avoid this kind of direct question to his Commie beliefs), was the one I found to be of most interest; the questioner, a self-proclaimed "transphobic alt-right fucker", compares Conrad's self-diagnosis of autism, something Ben resolutely refuses to fully accept (considering it to be questionable at best) without a professional medical diagnosis, to Conrad's (and Gibbontake's) own self-diagnosed gender dysphoria, which also hasn't been professionally diagnosed by a medical specialist in both cases (certainly in Conrad's case; not idea about Gibb's, but he has yet to mention it).
Ben and Gibbontake proceed to, naturally, completely disagree that transsexuality/gender dysphoria needs to be professionally diagnosed, hilariously comparing transsexuality to homosexuality; the latter, however, doesn't require irreversible surgery or HRT. Gibb also compares not accepting any transsexuality claims to that of not accepting the pleas of someone being bullied to leave them alone(?!)
Ben and Gibb are of the school that gender is a social construct, and something one can choose to experiment with regarding being trans, while Conrad recently seems to accept, in principle rather than in practice, that not everyone slightly confused with their gender roles as determined by society is necessarily trans. The mental gymnastics displayed by the entire PCP crew, past and present, in the last 24 hours, is giving me an aneurysm.
