US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I personally love how Joe Biden can BTFO niggers and turks in one year. Trumpcucks couldn't even begin to scratch that surface until year two.
It's the only good part of his position - we may be going off a cliff as a country but at least there's no escape for the feeble minded cunts that got us to this point. Biden is Bane and we're the plane.

The whole DC statehood push was completely retarded and insincere. Not until a few months ago did I ever hear the Left even consider DC being its own state. Compare that towards efforts to make Puerto Rico a state which has been something talked about for years and, if they did become a state, would have probably give the Left a safe 5 electoral votes compared to just 3 from DC.
Why not just give the land back to Maryland and Virginia. Then they would have representation.

Manchin and Sinema are slimeballs, but they are slime balls who try to moderate themselves. I dislike Sinema more than Manchin because Manchin gives me more of the idea he has some backing principles. I'd have previously said that the feeling had no support, but he was given the chance to help seize power and refused.
He would lose all his leverage if he supported it. This is way more politically calculated and machiavellian than you give him credit for. He is basically the most powerful person in DC right now, and he knows it.

This is a possibility, yes. The issue I have with it is he hasn't appeared to use the leverage for anything.

Isn't the current governor over there a Republican?

Nah, my belief is that they conveniently play the blue dawg Dem bit, just to take heat off of Pelosi & co. If the Dems really want something and it comes time to push, they’ll vote along party lines.

Puerto Rico has actually swapped between Republican and Democrat very frequently. Hence why the Democrats aren't pushing for it, it's far from a guaranteed blue.
That being said, Puerto Rico’s Dem & Repub factions don’t exactly line up with the parties here, and I think the vote may lean more towards the left if given a choice between the US Democrats or Republicans, mostly in terms of benefits & entitlements (same as Mexicans).

Apparently the migrant flood is still going on.

Being in AZ, I rather detest this woman. But at least she's not AOC fucking crazy and does occasionally reach across the aisle
As long as she moderates her insanity and continues pissing leftists off that is fine by me. I would expect her to jump like every politician when it is to her advantage however. The Democrat political split can't come sooner.

But then the Dems don't get their guaranteed 2 extra Senate seats and however many in the house.

Puerto Rico also relies heavily on gibs.

Largely, its reliance on Gibs can be linked to the fact that, as a territory, it doesn't benefit from a massive slew of benefits proper states get.

His wife is a cabinet level official and he has probably made some decent money enriching himself and his family

The point is, if Puerto Rico became a state, it will pretty much always go to the Left for Presidential elections (I'm not aware of one Republican nominee the majority of them supported), it might be split in the Senate with a greater likelihood of there just being two blue than red Senators. and a similar case may occur with Representatives. It's a net positive for the Left for it to become a state.
