BDD is a formal diagnosis made when someone focusses too much time and energy on a perceived flaw in their appearance, so is unlikely diagnostically to include fat-arses who think they are smaller than they actually are...unless they see that as a flaw and work very deliberately in an attempt to correct it. Certainly many deathfats see themselves as smaller than they are, which could explain why they keep buying clothing sizes below what they realistically are. The fact they they are deluded, doesn't mean they have BDD.

I’ve noticed a trend in fat people saying “I’m anorexic”, so people can’t shame them for eating as much. They can say “fuck you I’m recovering ANOREXIC!” The bitch has never suffered from anorexia, and she prob never will. That’s why she’s saying it now though, so she can use that as a weapon to the “fatphobic” people. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has convinced herself of this in her head, since maybe she didn’t eat breakfast and lunch one day, and skipping meals? Must mean she’s anorexic. Edit to say: most anorexics even in recovery won’t ever let themselves get fat. Some do, but a good amount will just stay in healthy weight zone and never higher.

If Tess has anything it's EDNOS/OSFED with an a-typical anorexia sub type. That means she's starving herself successfully and losing weight at an unsafe rate that will lead to being underweight. It's far more likely she wakes up in the morning planning to diet and gives up by the afternoon and binges... which is BED.

She does not, by pure medical definition, have anorexia which requires the person to have a BMI of 18.5 or less. There's very good reasons for this distinction.

In the medical community you can't just perscribe treatment willy-nilly, there has to be a diagnosis before treatment can be addressed in these situations. It prevents quack doctors from giving unnecessary treatments, and it's also for insurance purposes. If you are underweight, you need supervised weight restoration which can be dangerous (lots of people died after being rescued from concentration camps in the holocaust because they were not properly refed, it's called refeeding syndrome). In order to get this treatment paid for, you need the diagnosis saying you need it.

Deathfats screaming fat people can have anorexia is simply not true and it's nothing to do with fatphobia, it's just medical jargon for goodness sake.

Edit: One more thing that makes Tess gross for saying that she has anorexia when she doesn't is that it's well known there's a hierarchy among eating disorders and she's just giving in to the truly fat phobic idea that having anorexia is somehow better than having BED. She's glamorising anorexia the same way people always have. Shame on you, messy Tess.

Thoughts of restriction does not equal anorexia. This is called self control or delayed gratification.

Intrusive thoughts of restriction due to perceived sense of great harm if not carried out. This is a mental illness which can include anorexia.

And I am also sure Tess has claimed some OCD too because she loves to greedily scoop any spoonie points she can. From my understanding. People with OCD do not clean because they really love cleanliness or other activity. They clean because they think great harm will come to them or people they love if they do not do it. Hence COMPULSIVE DISORDER. The obessesive part is not a fleeting thought once a day before you IV butter cream icing into your adiposity. It is never ending screaming of thoughts and desire which never abate until the activity is done or performed.

These are not cute diagnosis. They can be extremely debilitating, destructive and come with some of the poorest outcomes for recovery and fatal comorbidities.

Anorexics do tend to die from heart failure. This is where Tess may actually share a similarity with anorexics. That heart can't keep pumping Krispy Kreme glaze through the body forever.
