Took a break from the farms and took the family down to my parents house. They enjoyed the grandkids, the kids enjoyed playing with the menagerie of animals my parents have, and I got to see a personal trainwreck of mine from my school days get married. Overall, it was a nice visit and didn't see a whole lot of masks about.

From the article you’d believe that we suddenly have unfettered access because Biden is President. In my statemen to the Post, I made it clear we provided feedback to the Trump CDC too. In fact, we contacted the CDC more in 2020 under Trump than we have in 2021 under Biden.

What sort of retard teacher logic is this? Barring the disparity in length of time elapsed per year, of course you provided feedback more in 2020 because the whole situation was unknown and fluid at the beginning.

So I guess doing your job is now a reason for stories in the NYPost....Wish the post had done a story about our attempts to get the Trump administration to pay attention to the safety safeguards. It might have stopped Trump from pretending Covid didn’t exist

It appears that Moxy is a chain run by Marriott. I can't see a sign like that getting corporate approval, no matter how "quirky" they label the hotel. I'm guessing some lowly manger that works at the restaurant posted it on the door. First guess would have been hoax, but it was laminated.

Dammit, I like Marriott. I have been known to go out of my way to stay at one of their places instead of somewhere closer to what I was doing.

The metallic taste in your mouth from the vaccine kinda weirds me out. So you get your shot, then some people are tasting metal. Where does the metal taste originate from? Are the taste buds in your mouth reacting to the vaccine flowing through your blood? I guess what I am wondering is where is this signal originating from, the taste buds, the brain, or somewhere in between? I think about the brain tumor and the burnt toast scenario, a woman smells phantom burnt toast, and they can stimulate a part of her brain, and she smells the toast, also highlighting the brain tumor area. Is the vaccine stimulating a part of the brain in some people, or is it stimulating something before that?

I dunno. I caught the coof sometime towards the end of last year, but it was so mild I didn't really notice it at the time. Fast forward to sometime in late February or early March, and I started to notice that food would taste a little off, especially if it was the first thing I ate that day. I first really noticed it with peanut butter, where it would have this bizarre taste to it that remains difficult to describe beyond "bad." After a few bites things would basically go back to normal, and the effect was less noticeable as the day went on, though the first bite of a meal or snack later in the day might still be a little weird. It was never a full loss of taste, just things tasting kind of strange.

I'm still not sure if it's coof-related or not, but if it is, then I find it weird that it only started to appear several months later. I haven't had any other issues since then, or at least nothing that can't be chalked up to seasonal allergies. If anyone else has had that issue post-coof, I'd like to know.
