If that thing on her neck is actually a goiter and not just a smaller ring of fat under her magnificent chins then her clearing her throat and even getting a sore throat or breathing troubles from time to time is not unusual, especially if it is auto-immune thyroiditis. If she has Hashimoto's then there is this thing called Hashimoto-Encephalitis which could explain her crazy behavior.

Edit: Though honestly, her clearing her throat a lot and it being sore might just be acid reflux. Even asthma can be caused (or made worse) by reflux.

I kinda like the comment she left; it was both articulate and insane at the same time. I suppose whatever ails her is not her fault, so I don't want to dwell on it. But whenever one goes digging through the comments from Chantal fans, one finds all kinds of human flotsam and jetsam. People with a bigger heart than I have might even weep for humanity after getting a look at some of these people. Why they are drawn like moths to the big, fat, screechy flame that is Chantal is one of those mysteries I hope some egghead psychologists will solve.

The throat clearing is relatively new, but it could be a tic. People can develop new tics anytime, especially when stressed. That said, the most common reason for throat clearing like that is heartburn. She’s got acid erupting from her stomach like a volcano, and with a few days of 3,000 calories instead of 10,000 calories, plus sleeping flat down without her cPAP, it might be splashing up all the way to her vocal cords, causing that pain.

When I had to go digging for the old video where she talks about her transition from Peetz to Bibi, which was about 2017 and others in that time frame, she still did the throat clearing. It wasn't as often or prominent, it's just progressively become more often, louder and more phlegmy.
