It's shocking there aren't companies scrambling to grab hold of something that can get 3.6m views in less than 20hours considering some of the other crap they go for.
You have to remember that most production company execs are mouth breathing retards who only have their jobs due to extreme nepotism. They blatantly lag behind by following trends set by shows and actually good production execs that took risks and succeeded.

That and its admittedly hard to market this kind of show to a production company. Its too colorful to be viewed as an "adult" cartoon, its based in hell which inherently limits its Christian/religious (which is a big deal in the US and non-western foreign markets) audience and its definitely not meant for kids. As much as it bemoans me to say it, the success of a shows like Rick and Morty was the deciding factor for A24 to pick up Hazbin.

I also think Viv doesn't really want to let this one go to a studio. She has her professional project that's her work and a side project she enjoys doing with the lowered expectations that come with it. With the added benefit that it keeps interest in the professional project.

Overall I liked this episode.
The animation was notably choppy, but it was still fun and enjoyable. I like the dynamics between Moxxie and Milly and her family, I think the drama was actually handled well. Blitz was also written very well this episode, he got more character that just 'fun assshole' this time. The farmhand gives off Rattlesnake Jake vibes to me, and while the fistfight animation wasn't amazing there were some shots that I thought were mint.

Overall, it was worth watching and I'm liking the series for what it is and I want to see where it continues to go.

The episode did a lot of good shots with shadows and lighting.

>have characters joke about murder and war and cannibalism all the time
>still use proper pronouns for trans characters who live in the Hell equivalent of the South
lmao okay

Also the novelty of Vivzie’s cartoons being so huge in scale for indie content is starting to wear off now that they’re hiring actors from The Walking Dead to do voice acting gigs for it

Like someone mentioned on here before, Vivzie knows her audience, or at least, who her hardcore audience is, the ones that buy all her merch and are most vocal about the show. She knows there's somethings that she just can't do in her show, even in a show taking place in hell, without a good chunk of her audience throwing a fit about it.

Believe me, I've been thinking the same thing. You can show innocent people getting murder by the dozens in gory fashion but you couldn't have Katie Killjoy call Charlie a "faggot"? But despite each episode having the disclaimer "Hey, this show is for mature audiences and showcases bad people doing bad things, if this doesn't seem like your thing then you probably shouldn't watch this" it's would not be enough for the woke fans to excuse Vivzie having a words like "faggot" or "nigger" in her show, even if the perpetrator suffers retribution almost immediately after saying these things. Which is sad because, in a sensible word, that disclaimer should be more then enough to justify the occasional slur, so long as the show didn't portray using those words as an innately good thing. Sadly, we don't really live in a very sensible world right now.

That aside, I think the writers wanted the audience to like Milly's parents and having them not be very warm to the trans wouldn't make them very likable to a good portion of her audience (again, Vivzie knows who she appeals to) considering how much they take the piss out Moxey in this episode. I mean, yeah, it's a bit of a stretch, but the episode doesn't focus on it or make a big deal out of it and the rest of it was pretty good, so I'm not going to harp on it much. It's Vivzie's & her teams cartoon, if they want trans characters then they can do that, it's when they start preaching to me about it is when I move onto something else.

So the sister was trans. I thought it was just an art or voice acting thing, huh.
Honestly, that was pretty subtle as far as tranny representation goes, I don’t mind it.
So, I guess that would mean that they were more annoyed that Moxxie was a bitchnigga rather than a fag, fair enough.
Yeah, their issue with Moxie is he isn’t very physically capable. As long as an Imp is a strong fucker, they don’t give a shit about anything else.

You know I know it's old news now what with the new episode out and all.

But I still feel kinda bad for cherub. Sure they were saccharine and sickly sweet, not to mention wayyyyy to loyal to the big man upstairs like... Even a puritan in Salem Massachusetts would tell them to lighten up. But they meant well and only wanted to help people. And yet I. M. P. Screwed them over and left them to take the fall for what I. M. P. Did to Lyle. Idk maybe I can sympathize with the way deerire talked to them when they were denied entry back to heaven (I legit hate people who talk like that with fake sympathy)

This was something someone actually pointed out to me once; what really sets this show apart from a lot of modern cartoons is the ample use of shadows, keeping it from looking as flat as other shows.
A little really does go a long ways.

Pretty solid to great episode but goddamn, the animation jumps from being choppy as fuck and smooth as butter (of course most of them being reserved to the Reedus character and he deserves it) My only complain is that I feel Moxxie got done dirty in the end, I really think he should have at least got a one by one against Strider but oh well until the next time.
Best joke goes to Stola's wife talking about her plans to kill him in the dinner in a desperate attempt to get his attention.

I think its such a great addition for Stola's wife. Not only is it easily the funniest joke in the episode, it really highlights how much she craves Stola's attention and how little he actually gives her. Its great character stuff honestly.

Any of the stuff that may seem all fucked I can dismiss easily by pointing out they're all in hell.

Pretty much just echoing what other people have been saying at this point. Animation was wildly inconsistent, but aside from that, holy FUCK that was a good episode. Probably the best one so far. The fight scene was top notch, although I feel like Moxxie was jobbing pretty hard. We've seen him fight way better than that. Wasn't quite as enamored with Striker. He was fine, just... not amazing, I guess?

The joke at the dinner table actually had me burst out laughing, but I think it raises a serious point. Does Stolas really not know? Or does he not care? Or maybe... he thinks he deserves it?

That makes sense, but regardless, her constant flip-floping is really unprofessional at best. I mean, inserting or allowing a troon in her shows, despite saying that she won't, is not much of a biggie in my opinion anyway, especially if compared to her other bullshit, but at least it's kinda amusing how she sometimes goes back on her claims. It's not the first time that happens.

That was really odd indeed. Millie's parents kinda reek of that smell from conservative Texan boomers who sure as fuck wouldn't be happy about their child trooning out, putting it lightly. At first I thought that Lin and Joe just close their eyes on it, because they all are really close as a family, more or less, but they're also ridiculing Millie for bullshite reasons, sometimes in Sallie May's (the name of Millie's troon sister) favor. Even by Helluva's absurdity that's not something suitable for such kind of parents at all.

Blimey, ayylmao. Can't fucking stand that moron.

As for Reedus. We already discussed that he could have joined because he found it fun and/or probably didn't charge that much. I don't think that him doing voice acting for Striker suddenly stops HB (not sure about Hazbin) from being indie. There are numerous indie pieces that feature well-known actors from high places. To name a couple, West of Dead has Ron Perlman voicing the protagonist, and upcoming War Mongrels has Doug "Geralt of Fucking Rivia" Cockle voicing one of the characters.
got any history with AyyIMAO and Blimey? I keep seeing him/her a lot and I wasn't sure if they got kiwi farms made about that panda?
