This is just further evidence that she doesn’t have the profile of an anorexic. Think of Eugenia, for example, and how *obvious* her anorexia is to the rest of humanity. And yet she staunchly refused to acknowledge it for a very long time.

Anorexics aren’t “sticking their neck out” to confess their eating disorder. They consciously (or not) avoid admitting their dysfunction to anyone who might be in a position of power over their ability to continue with their disordered behaviors because anorexics generally don’t want to stop behaving like anorexics.

This reminds me of deceased munchie cow Kadee Konstantino, a potato-figured young woman who also claimed to be recovering from anorexia (amongst dozens of other injuries/conditions/diseases). I remember how she used to post pictures on her Instagram of herself holding doughnuts, large milkshakes, etc. with sentimental captions about how much she had suffered, but by damn she was strong and brave and she was proud, so proud of surviving and finding the will to slam all these sugary creamy cakey foods down her gullet.
It takes a special something to sit there scarfing down horrendous quantities of fatty food and convince yourself that this is a courageous, life-affirming and praiseworthy thing to do.
You've all already pointed it out ... Tess just wants more heapings of worship and licence to indulge her disgusting gluttony. I have a feeling she believes, consciously or not, that she absolutely deserves to have the 'anorexic' title - because it really is just another label for her to flaunt.

You’re right to be irritated. The appropriation of anorexia by fatty mcfatfats, so that they can larp as dangerously suffering uwu waifs, is truly pathetic. I think the problem lies in the Very Online community’s inability to distinguish thoughts from action. So if you have intrusive thoughts about weight and food restriction, and that has led you to have a BMI of 14, then you are anorexic because your thoughts have translated into action and you meet the key diagnostic criterion which is drastic refusal to maintain normal weight. If you have intrusive thoughts about weight and food restriction but your BMI is and always has been 30, then your thoughts have not translated into action and you are not fucking anorexic. Sure the intrusive thoughts may bother you, but that does not make you an ana chan.

A lot of fat chicks don't know the proper way to lose weight so they do the opposite of stuffing their face all day, which is they try to starve themselves, it usually lasts like 2 hours before they're back to stuffing their face. Maybe she did that and then thought it meant she had anorexia.

There's no way any treatment center would take her seriously because part of anorexia recovery is gaining weight and she's already a deathfat.

Your first meal can be half a banana, but that doesn't really matter if your second meal is a couple sheetcakes. Hasn't she tried claiming she is bipolar before? She was still with Nick, and he said he was diagnosed with it, so Tess said she was too?
