In fact it was literally their first film.
Universal bought them later so now its a Universal Production

Cannibal, the Musical... But yeah. No one's ever made it because of Troma but because what they did later. So, Troma is a stepping stone of sorts but no one is like "OMG, they worked for Troma! Here's a million dollars, go do whatever you want."

About the idea that James could have made a big splash post-AVGN, I kinda doubt it.

Him having a director role in Hollywood is out of the question. Hollywood is a den of fucking vipers, you need to have connections from some faggoty art college or a country club, and you can bet your ass that rising up from YouTube would make James be seen as a threat that needs to be taken down. Basically no chance besides indie grade horror.

As an actor he will be another Jason Alexander and will forever be cast as the "angry geek", not something very fun (and will get old fast) and I doubt it would ever be anything but bit part.

Finally, when I look at today's top gaming review channels (ie, Mandalore gaming long ass review with some small jokes, Sseth meme reviews and Civvie's abridged playthrough with a lot of explanations) there was no way James would get on that wagon successfully. It's too much of a departure.

The one thing James could have done well is the weirder short series that doesn't involve the nerd (Board James) but that's not likely to be successful considering the audience wants to have the same shit forever.

Yeah, they never seem to turn out well, do they? Even Space Cop is supposed to be bad (never watched it) but the RLM guys just shrugged it off, it never impacted their web videos.

I enjoyed Space Cop for what it was: A homage.parody of the kinds of movies they rip on.

The only I know about it is Jillian went topless in one scene, so that alone makes it the best of all these Youtuber movies lol.
