If Kelly does start peeling herself elsewhere, or molest her stumps, would she be more at risk of a fatal infection? She’s lasted for years until now but I’m guessing having two legs lopped off would put the body into some kind of shock and make her more vulnerable.

I’m wondering how her care team will manage her post-op care. Is there some weird dynamic where everyone knows she’s a picker but nobody mentions it? Or would the medical team have to tell her explicitly ‘no fucking picking’ or dope her up to the eyeballs? I cannot imagine a double amputation would stop her behaviour, it’s a compulsion surely. A care facility wouldn’t provide for her anything she cannot do for herself. She can eat, sleep, go to the bathroom, etc. on her own. What she needs is intensive mental health treatment, which she won’t comply with, so it’s pointless to commit her. So as a pussy you may feel shocked from only the descriptions, and this cow has some of the most disgusting pictures I’ve seen on this site. But she’s been involuntarily commuted before, and the only thing it does is delay the inevitable return to abusing her body.

So yes, this is functioning for someone with something I would consider a terminal mental illness. And probably how the government is viewing it as well.

It's pointless to commit her in the same way it's pointless to commit an intractable schizophrenic who is not responsive to medication or will never be medication compliant outside of a mental health facility. She unlikely to get well enough to be released due to the noncompliance, but when the alternative is letting her kill herself via self-injury, I would argue long-term institutionalization would be the better option. Probably cheaper for the government, too, given that they're paying for all her constant medical procedures.

I mean they’re pretty fucked up. It’s human nature to react viscerally to someone badly injured. Learng she literally tore into her flesh over a period of years to the point there was giant holes in her legs, a nerve was yanked out, and even the bone had scissor marks is the kind of thing that makes us go “holy shit dude, you seeing this shit?”.

For those of us who’ve seen her peel at the flesh incrementally over years it isn’t as shocking. But being featured, there’s a lot of people who have never seen someone literally destroy their own legs with only their fingers, some shit, and possibly scissors (maybe a curling iron sorry).

I'll bite, but only because Kelly is my favorite spectacle that the Beauty Parlor has to offer. Kelly was, in fact, LARPing as her twin sister Gina on lolcow, but the twin is plenty real and much more healthy (mentally and physically) than her. You can find pictures of them together on page 26, during the skin grafts saga, where they were also fighting constantly on instagram (edited to add additional link).

I wonder how Gina feels now that her sister has finally had her legs amputated? Will she stick around to support her or will they get into another fight and part ways? Their relationship has never been the strongest.
