If Luna was more then just a prop you'd actually see her wearing afos and hand splints quite more often. But Luna is just a woo prop and actually care of her pain/function is not a part of this.

There's some random older kid on the couch during these vids. Maybe more support that these "therapists" aren't real either?

You can hear Atlas crying in the background, needing his mother's attention, all while she obsesses and fawns all over the husk of a freak with less brain activity than a plush fucking animal, and none of the cuteness. What mother ignores her infant's cries? It's a basic instinct. Sociopathic bitch.

Grandma looks normal but you never know
So this whole fucked up home birth situation was just one giant fuck you from Robyn to her pediatric nurse mom? Like, "I know what I'm doing, MOM, just because you couldn't handle a little stalled birth pain for three days and give birth to a potato doesn't mean *I* can't"?

Press F for Nana Lisa. She knows exactly who her daughter is and what she's done to her eldest kid, and what she put Atlas at risk of.

Edit: yep, meet nurse Nana Lisa

I learned not to assume nurses or people who work in medicine are sane or professional, maybe more sane than the average person in the general population, but they have their share of batshit in the profession too.

There are some absolutely crazy RNs. Everything from ones that self-installed picc lines in their legs to immediately siphon off patients’ narcotics for themselves to fundie “Jesus is coming next year” anti-vax nurses. Jim Jone’s wife and head assistant killer/poisoner in Jonestown were both RNs. Takes all kinds.

All that said the sheer lack of Nana on Robyn’s IG says a lot. She did say they were moving back to LV to be near family. You’d think with nana being a freaking RN and in town you’d see her around a lot more just for her professional knowledge with Luna’s care. But Robyn has always shown she knows best. Nana might also be a downer with the medical realism. It also appears Nana had other older grandchildren she is close with.

Was attempting to find precedence for her constant mouth movements. They may be a form of seizure known as NCSE. This is usally seen as lipsmacking movements.

Here is more proof her movements are indictive of the brain damage she has:
Abnormal movementDefinitionPathophysiological origin
ChoreaInvoluntary, purposeless, nonrhythmic, non-sustained movements that flow from one body part to the otherPoorly understood. Could be due to loss of normal pallidal inhibitory input
Hemiballismus: a severe form of chorea, is characterized by vigorous irregular high amplitude movements on one side of the bodyHemiballismus happens secondary to injury of the subthalamic nucleus
ClonusRhythmic involuntary muscular contractions and relaxationsUpper motor neuron injury and its descending pathways
DystoniaSustained twisting movements that are often frequent and progresses to prolonged abnormal posturesBasal ganglia. Abnormalities are also seen in the cortex and reduction in spinal cord and brainstem inhibition
MyoclonusSudden, brief involuntary movements which may be caused by muscle contractions (positive myoclonus)Widespread origin depending on the injury or type: cortical, subcortical (basal ganglia), brainstem or spinal cord in segmental myoclonus
Asterixis is considered a negative myoclonus secondary to sudden loss of tone
NCSEUnilateral eye deviation, lip smacking, automatisms and some movements of the fingersCortical in origin
Paroxysmal posturingInvoluntary flexor or extensor posturing on one side or bilateral spontaneously or with pain. Opisthotonus posturing refers to hyperextension of the neck and back “arching position”Damage above the red nucleus (flexion posturing) or below (extensor posturing) Midbrain injury or tetanus (opisthotonus)
ShiveringHigh frequency involuntary muscular contractions involving one group or more of musclesThermoregulatory (due to hypothermia) or non-thermoregulatory (not well understood)
TicsAbnormal movements (motor) or sounds (phonic) which can be simple muscle jerks or complex when they consist of sequential movements in different parts of the bodyMay be related to abnormalities in the basal ganglia
TremorOscillatory rhythmic movement that affects one or more parts of the bodyLikely related to the presence of central oscillator in the basal ganglia or cerebellum
I think the random kid on couch might be Robyn’s nephew. Grandma’s FB shows her with a grandson that looks very much like a somewhat younger version of the boy on the sofa.

The video of Luna "with feet flat on the floor, closing the toy" makes me wonder if Robyn really believes any of this is working. A moment before Luna's feet were curled up like her hands but no comment from her. It's like she thinks these splints and toys and therapy are magic and while wearing them Luna is reacting to her environment. It feels like there's more to Robyn than just a narc, whoring the baby she is slowly killing out for money and likes. Or maybe that's all there is to her which is just as scary.

Gotta sell it more when shes wearing the items that people with disabled kids know. Going through her list the majority of her people are woo people and not those with disabled kids. They probably seem straight through the crap.

He wasn't even her husband, he was just the baby daddy who was a greasy street preacher 10 years her senior who cheated on his wife with her and ditched her the second he found out she was pregnant with a brainless fetus. Dude's name is Dan Lirette and he's apparently still trying to be a preacher in the same town.

Yeah the mother basically got sucked into his weird outdoor cult Christian group which would go around preaching outside. He eventually told the mother he believed god was telling them they should bang and make babies - but as I recall the guy was out of the picture long before the mother learned her baby was pretty much going to have no brain to speak of.

Dan pretty much only showed up to play tough guy cuz he didn't like the slander. Mind that he chose slapfighting with goons on an internet forum over doing anything to actually help the mother or baby.

In that case, the mother was a more sympathetic case. She did the proper appointments and was told the baby would pretty much be a potato and chose to continue the pregnancy. Granted she fervently believed God would somehow let her baby thrive and the doctors would be wrong - but even then she wasn't as delusional as Robyn. She knew the child wouldn't last long and heaped a lot of love on that kid. But she did a lot of that "omg this seizure response is actual development!!" talk too and took videos of the kid. But I think she just genuinely wanted to believe the kid would just....magically get at least enough brain to live longer.

I think there was also the sense that she knew she had "sinned" by sleeping with the guy, and saw having and dealing with having a terminally ill baby as penance for her issues.

But I think of her when people come into this thread wondering why Parents of similar kids might be determined to ignore a doctor literally telling them "I'm sorry there's jack we can do for your kid and they will likely die sooner rather than later" - some parents do their best to prepare for their kid to leave as quick as they came, others want much time as they can get.

That said I think that's what makes this thread all the more depressing. Luna had a chance to be a healthy baby, I don't even what to think what it must be like when being born is super stressful in it's own right, but your brain is literally being blown apart by the oxygen depravation. I don't even want to hope the child is really all that cognitive because I imagine all that child would feel is constant unending pain from that swelling.

I’m going to do a huge powerlevel sperg here about home birth. It’s all spoilered so you can just scroll on if you don’t give a shit. I thought my experience is so polar opposite to anything Robyn has done it might show just how neglectful this bitch is.

I’m in the UK where home birth is far more common. It’s also much more highly regulated. You don’t just get to tell medical professionals to fuck off, they are as much a part and parcel of it as if you’d gone to hospital.

My first was born in hospital and nobody would have been able to talk me into anything else. It was, at least then (25yrs ago), not recommended to have your first at home. Nobody knows how you’re going to cope with birth until you’ve actually done it. As it turns out, I’m one of those bitches everyone hates, birth was easy.

I was 4 hours from “oops, I’m in labour” to holding him. I needed no pain relief beyond gas and air, which to be honest was done as much for fun as necessity. No intervention was needed.

In a hospital birth here, midwives deal from start to finish. Doctors are around somewhere in case of emergency or they need to oversee anything, but the midwives are so highly trained they run the ship.

It was then three nights in with your first. I was discharged a day early because I didn’t need to be there and hadn’t even taken so much as paracetamol.

With my second it was recommended that I go to a birthing centre. I don’t know if they have these in the states. It’s basically a hotel type thing with hot tubs and shit. It’s staffed by midwives and if there’s an issue they’ll send you on to hospital.

My home was closer to the hospital, I actually lived opposite the local midwifery office. We looked into it with my doctor and midwife. At home I’d have a midwife with me from start to finish, not running between me and three other rooms. How home birth worked in case of issue was that the midwife would call your GP out. I made it clear that if any calls were to be made, we skip the GP and get an ambulance. I’m only home birthing if there’s no complications. The second I need more than a midwife is the second home birth is not on the cards.

Throughout the pregnancy I kept all the appointments, had all the blood tests etc. They seemed even more important now if I was going to labour at home. Plans were made, all the usual pain relief bar an epidural would be available.

I popped this one out in a couple of hours. The midwife stuck around a couple hours after to do her apgar stuff, clean me up and make sure everything was fine. The next morning she’s back. The GP visited to do the checks he needed to. The following days were like a revolving door of midwives and getting him to GP for further checks to be absolutely certain he was 100%.

The medical input never stopped. Had anything been picked up before birth, we’d have been in the hospital. Had a problem during birth occurred, no matter how small, we’d have been in the hospital. If something was detected with the baby 3 days after birth, we’d have been in the hospital.

Even if I were stupid enough to think a baby not crying is a good thing, professionals would have put me right.

Number 3 came along and we did the same. This birth was ridiculously easy.

Number 4 came some years after. Obviously, the same plans were made. Labour started, the midwife poked about on my belly and said, “He’s transverse, you know what this means?”

For those who don’t know, he was basically presenting with his back down. He was trying to come out fucking sideways. He’s still an awkward little shit.

I picked up my hospital bag, because with a home birth you still pack that bag. Planning for a home birth is just that, a plan. Everything can change.

10 minutes later I’m on the ward. Eventually doctors and surgeons began to show up. It was perhaps two hours later I was taken to surgery.

Now, prior to surgery, I was being poked with doctors discussing between themselves which baby bits were pointing in which direction. If it took a team of docs, I’m pretty sure some unqualified crunchy bitch off Facebook wouldn’t have a clue. I also had a midwife qualified enough to know when she was not enough.

This bitch risked her child from start to finish. Of course they didn’t know at first what caused the problem because nobody was monitoring the baby. Not one medical professional looked at that child until it was too late and she was already a potato.

Nobody’s right to birth how and where they want to supersedes a child’s right to live without pain and a fucking brain.

God, I hate her.

Sorry for length of that, I know home births and midwives mean different things across the ocean so felt I should explain how they differ. It’s not necessarily home births that are the problem, it’s Robyn. She completely failed that poor girl.

"Happy Mother’s Day to all my fellow mama’s!!

Today is my third Mother’s Day. Each Mother’s Day has been so special to me so far. The first one with Luna was bittersweet as we thought it would be our first and last one with Luna. My second Mother’s Day was THE BEST DAY, it was our first day back at home after Luna’s life saving shunt was placed. Luna gave us the first big smile she’d given in a long time (see the video we were so lucky daddy captured!) and we spent the day outside enjoying the blooming trees, birds chirping and with her in my arms! And today, my third Mother’s Day, we added our little dude Atlas to the mix and my heart (and hands) couldn’t be fuller! Today Atlas is wearing Luna’s onsie from our first Mother’s Day together. It feels extra special she’s here to see him wearing it. Being a mama is my favorite thing ever and I have to say I really lucked out because my kids are AMAZING!

Life is grand for us today. I hope all my fellow mamas feel the same and feel so loved today!"
