I don't know what prices in the southwest are like, but they're cheap in the San Luis Valley area and most of the population down there are Mexicans descended from the old Hispano settlers from when that was the northern frontier of Mexico. I think that's a likely spot. North of there beyond Poncha Pass is more expensive and more white.
