The problem is that successful streamers have to be charismatic and entertaining on the fly. Noah was never engaging unless he had a script.

Spoony's very capable of performing live. He hosted a lot of con panels during his active years and I always found them very entertaining. His stage presence is naturally strong, especially relative to most content creators. A scarce few of his Live Wires even used to be decent.

I think that's because his focus was solely on the panel. Streaming, you have to juggle playing the game (or doing whatever activity you're doing, like sitting in a hot tub), reading your chat for messages/donations and trying to be entertaining by providing commentary/quips/etc.

From the little I've seen of Noah's streams, he doesn't seem capable of doing that. There are a lot of streamers who aren't capable of doing that, actually, but can make up for it by being autistically skilled in whatever game they're playing or having other quirks that can draw viewers in.

Someone sitting in stony silence, badly playing a video game isn't going to attract viewers. And honestly, I think that's his only real recourse with streaming. I can't see him doing a D&D style stream because that would require him to, you know, be social and have friends that would want to be around him and his grognard tendencies would have him shitting on 5th edition.

EDIT: But I will admit that you are far more familiar with Spoony and his nonsense than I am, so I could be entirely wrong on this point.

Dig up what happened to most the more popular old CoD guys from MW2 days who exited around then. A lot of them run game server hosting sites, especially for things like Minecraft and Ark, or they moved on to making games quietly running tiny but profitable indie studios.

Some other e-celebs are pulling what Shane Dawson is attempting. Transitioning into trying to have some form of business, first off their YouTuber brand then later off their brand in that industry if it work.

The trick is to grab the money and pivot to being a business owner or stock trading. Then you can steam or YouTube for pleasure not work again and not get fucked when your fame runs out.

From the con panels I've seen he had great charisma, and he can write a good script but his improv is terrible when he's alone.

He definitely had a sort of stage presence in the con/panel videos I've seen. Maybe he was doing the whole "fake it til you make it" sort of thing, but there was certainly something there. He could roll with the heckling he'd occasionally get, laugh it off, and move on. At least he didn't come off as 120% awkward when he was on those things.

Now he's lusting after armzgurl. Oh, how the sort-of-mighty have fallen.

If he refuses treatment, therapy, or help of any kind except being a parasite in your house eating your food, dirtying your clothes, and shitting on your pot, yes. He gets the fuck out.
He's a 40 year old man who's woes are of his own doing. He is not some happy soul who had tragedy strike him and remove his legs/take his child/leave him retarded. Pity for him is only doing him harm.

I think his posts are definitely trying to get an opening with her.. but it might also be some ACTUAL gaming critique. With Noah, hard to tell sometimes. If he gets in the rotation of the army, honestly, good for him, maybe he will wrench himself out of his spiral downwards.. I don't do Vegas bets, so probably doubt it, especially how he is looking now and her lack of return comments.
For heavens sake, Spoony, just get a haircut (or style) and get some games you actually enjoy. Fuck, my wife died last year and I have more happiness than you. (Sorry for the PL)

Spoony's near-total ineptitude as a critic has been laid bare by his mental spiral. He recently bitched about being unable to understand Fist of the North Star's plot. I don't know how that's possible. I've never even read or watched the series and I know what the plot is. It's like his actual talent is finding the lowest-quality takes to vomit out so you know what not to think about a given piece of media.

Lol, no. Like I've said, he's always been an asshole to his fans, even during what you call "pre-2014 passion-filled Spoony" and it seems that he was as good at games as Phil.

I remember watching his letsplay of Deadly Premonition and I was amazed how he was nothing like he was in his videos - boring and unfunny.
