What's so offensive about discussing ropes?
The issue I have with the ”the Confederate battle flag is a symbol of treason” argument is not the argument itself, because I don't think I could name any other country that would romanticise a failed rebellion in the way lots of America does.
The issue I have with it is that the people making it romanticise John Brown, who was a traitor in the same way the Confederates were. I have no doubt that if no Civil War took place and slavery ended peacefully, the same sorts of people would call socialists who celebrate Brown's attack on Harper's Ferry anti-Southern bigots and supporters of treason.
What gets me MATI is that these people have coopted the phrase ”social justice” when the idea of social justice originally referred to solving economic inequality and had nothing at all to do with dangerhairs.
The biggest proponent of social justice in that sense that I can think of was the Ven. Bp. Fulton Sheen. Given that he was a distributist, a social conservative and a Catholic priest, I doubt that modern SJW's would get on well with him.
How ironic that, despite it being written by a Democratic-Socialist, everything that the novel warns about is still relevant
George Orwell was in the Spanish Civil War and fought in the CNT militia.
The CNT were a group of anarchists and Trots who set up their own communes and went around Catalonia murdering Catholics and burning churches. They eventually ended up being betrayed by the Soviet-backed Spanish government, so it's understandable why he had such a distrust of communist leadership.
The server makes me ashamed to consider myself bisexual
I've never really felt sexual attraction to anything. There are times when I think about calling myself asexual, and then I go and look at this shit and decide not to do that.
What is this even trying to say? Progress is a steep slope which has a robot butler and public transport at the top of it?

On the topic of stupid shit progressives say, a very progressive friend of mine sent me a link from the ”we fucking hate Donald Trump” Instagram page, which is apparently now called ”The Progressivists”.
I looked at it and saw this (

If you had told a leftist from five years ago that leftist movements would be referring to their ”customers and collaborators” while supporting ”conscious consumerism”, he'd laugh at you.
