One slow stream and SF is on the chopping block. Phil wants to know if people still want to do it.
If Jaxx had spread that $1k out over 5 weeks, he could have kept SF in rotation for over a month. Nope. Dropped it all at once and now SF might be going.

Phil is reading the chat and they're saying it's getting stale and this version is bad.
So he's cherry picking responses. He says this isn't related to the $70, but contributions have been slower and attendance is lower than it has been... that's why we're suddenly revaluating SF.

It's getting bumped next week for the Mass Effect Bills Fundraiser anyway, though. Priorities.

Further confirmation that his addiction to receiving and spending money is starting to override everything else in his life, I'd say.

Phil having to backpedal again because of his mouth runs faster than his brain. He can't afford to sow doubt with the pigs. “No! That’s not what I said! $70 is a good amount of tips! What I said was other streams of Street Fighter have all been higher in attendance and support!”

I get the feeling he'll be extremely reluctant to wagequit SF, since that's the only game where he can "flex" on people and throw out his excuses that seem "plausible" to the sluggards in his audience. He wouldn't dare go back to SFIV or SFV.

Phil actually put this retarded "meme" as one of his slideshow pictures. At least it doesn't get read out to superblindman i guess

The SFIV thing has long been my favorite forbidden topic.
The Anniversary Collection came with a copy of SFIV, so he has it on PS4. The game probably has a more active userbase than the Anniversary Collection itself. Phil has never once touched it but insists the game is dead (despite never even installing it). He has to. Because he has no other protection from it.

He played it competitively, so he should be good at it. The game wasn't a dubious port, it was made for the console. And the game itself is a version that is held in decent esteem (better than V). It should be the ideal opportunity, waiting there.

But Phil knows that there will be people on there, and people ready to jump on there, who will decimate him. And he has none of the excuses of the Anniversary Collection to fall back on. He is sitting there with a perfectly great game to move to for variety, and he won't do it because he's scared. He's so scared that he does everything he can to pretend IV doesn't exist when he is talking about SF at all. He'll actually just shut down his precious SF Fridays rather than risk taking IV for a spin and having opponents who will mop the floor with his droopy face.

Phil's not dropping shit (except maybe Divinity that he can't RNG brute force) Phil's not losing shit, Phil's not doing a god damn fucking thing other than shaking a tin cup no matter what until the very off chance that Twatch bans him entirely.
Oh I agree, threats have never been more empty than him thinking he can threaten to get rid of SF. He never did SF for his fans - he does it for himself. That's why he now only ever picks SF2 and runs from every lobby the minute he gets beat even once.

But the fact that he thinks he can even try to hold SF hostage, and the fact that he has the audacity to do it only a few weeks after Jaxx dropped $1k on him - the tips are only low because Jaxx blew it all in one week. He was just trying to desperately spook a whale into dropping $50 on him at the end or something.

I seriously doubt his diehard fans care for him playing SF2 by now. Even they have to be tired of him spouting nonsense about “muh lag, muh shitty port, muh pattern play” bullshit by now.
He’s so nervous after the departnering that he just slings out all of his guilt-tripping tactics at the first sign of trouble. Absolutely zero finesse, just shake the tin cup harder.

Autism likes routines.

The fun thing is that he's right, to an extent; he will spook whales into blowing their loads all over him for a time. But they can't keep up. Even if, for example, OIC's claim of cashing in on Doge is legit... which it very likely is not... Phil is demanding $120,000 per year from tips before Patreon, YouTube and whatever else. Congrats on cucking your entire future to fund a retard's not-even-as-potentially-productive-as-actually-gambling-addiction, I guess.
