That's actually impressive. He probably logs in everyday and spends all this money out of habit. He is now addicted and doesn't have the willpower, and anybody to help him quit.
Damn he legit logs in more consistently than the hardcore gacha addicts always remembering to get their daily bonuses.

So what does that make Phil eh?

Autistic, it makes him autistic.
I would agree if it were more obvious that Phil logs in and does little to nothing on many of those days. He reads the Farms, probably fairly often, and Twitter probably even more often, but he obviously doesn't comment here, and his chattiness on Twitter seems limited to when he's knocking back a bottle past midnight.

Champions isn't like that, especially not for him these days, since he's in a guild that doesn't require him being chatty. If he is logged in, he's playing, and if he's playing, he's spending money. He wouldn't have an account that reached max VIP level after throwing $40k at the game if he were the type to log in just to be there, like he does on Twitter a lot.

It's addiction.

All joking aside, the sad thing is that he probably doesn't, despite his flagrant homosexuality. He probably barely even sees the JPEGs anymore, they're just speed bumps on the way back into the gambling zone.

Gambling is a hell of a drug.

For these type of games the name it bears is pretty much irrelevant. Could just as easily slap some new JPEGs on it and call it Strret Fighter, NHL or My Little Pony Champions, just like how the Vegas slot jockeys don't care about the theme of the machine or what's on the poker chips..

Heaven forbid that they become PNGs, become creative with the art, or approach the quality that it isn't immediately slammed as a shameless cash grab. Granted, I might be setting a bar that both WWE Champions and DSP will fail to jump over.

In a week we have 2 new 5 star wrestlers and a pair of 4 star ones bumped up to 5. Seems like our boy is coping with his crisis in the only way he knows how.

So how expensive is it to take a wrestler from one star to five stars?
Someone might be able to get an approximation if they assume Rafters purchased all the materials (TP, coins, tokens, etc) from the store, and did it to evolve from 1 star to five without using shards.

However I doubt that's what would actually happen in real life because he should have tons of resources available that can be acquired in several ways, and probably would not start with a character at such low level. Just so you know, you can pull wrestlers starting at 4 stars bronze, even in a F2P account (granted you'll need a lot of luck and patience if you don't spend $$$).

Also check this post:
it's kinda hard to tell exactly how much, some wwe champions youtubers have thousands of upgrade materials just from playing, and we know dsp plays more than these full time youtubers who cover the game

I think it's intentionally confusing so you're always chasing some kind of resource, coin or material

what I don't understand is the fuse up thing, can you explain @BT9494 I think it's for upgrading the specific star rank

there are $99 packs for coins, upgrade tokens (training points/TP), there are 6 different kinds of TP

then there are special upgrade items that come also in cash shop packs, which can be up to $99 for best value

This is a recent message from Scopely, it sums up very well Champions. You get server issues/glitches occasionally, and events to spend your money constantly:

Pretty much this...

When you actually hit the featured character for a given set of pulls, you are probably getting them at a higher rarity that one star. While his coin consumption must be off the charts, I doubt he has to invest too much in tokens to bring guys up from the early stages.

Another update, $467 and counting for one event.

This event ends on Monday May 10 and Phil needs to place in the top 10 for a special character - I would not at all be surprised if he either blows another few hundred dollars over the weekend or lashes out even more than usual at his paypigs today and Sunday.

EDIT: This is literally what he did with Rocky Johnson about a week ago:

I'm calling it now, we will see a verified anonymous tip followed by a massive spike in his score for this event.

It speaks to the power of both his addiction and the enabling provided by his retards the fact that Phil can't even try to throw us for a loop by letting something like this pass him by every once in awhile. He reads the Farms, he knows how much of his behavior we can accurately predict ahead of time, yet he remains predictable.

God I wish his paypigs would fail him in spectacular fashion, just once. Not to fix him, they can't. But to make him miss out, deprive his spoiled ass of something he prizes and is quite undeservedly used to.

Assume that was one of the two 5 star cards he got this week.

We actually know this for a fact. He's already talked about how he's played a lot of Marvel, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Ball gacha games in the past.
