Kevin stole his “new name” from a real-life natal woman that knew him personally.
I cannot express how fucking creeped out that would make me feel if I had been “cis friend Kathryn” and all of a sudden Kevin The Fat Nerd started dressing like me and calling himself by MY NAME to our mutual friends. I would fake my own death and leave the country because I’m not getting murdered and turned into a portion of Kevin’s woman suit.
Like the fact that he just *comes out and says that* without any idea how goddamned SINISTER that is? Just. Blast his solipsistic amhole into space and be done with it.

Remilia, who (hilariously) was also a 4chan tranny like Kevin, and (un-hilariously) had a rather unfortunate chain of events that led to his an hero. I don't remember all the details but he went to some butcher in Thailand (I think) for bottom surgery and was in constant pain pretty much constantly until the day they died, I believe. They were part of the Renegades roster but left over drama that I can't remember.

I think Kevin should consider using some hair preservation treatments like minoxidil immediately. I know some here speculate he doesn't bathe his hair because clumps of hair fall out each time from balding.

It's at least a one-up on some of the surrealistic names ripped off a Mary Sue or Marty Stu, which is the other major troon option.
One of the best pieces of advice I've ever heard for if you need to get a new name is to pick something that either makes sense for you (for example, if you're Hispanic you might check the list of saints for your birthday or the day when you'd have been baptized) or was just common when you were born (so: hit up the list of top names for your birth year). You can sometimes also get from your parents what were the alternate/extra names they had for you if you're still on decent terms for them.
But. If you're unlucky and, say, any/all-fucking-forms-of-Catharine was popular that year for girls and you like it? Just. Take a list of the spellings of that name, and see if anything is left after you've struck off the list the spellings somebody you know has. Especially when it's a youkneek spelling.

I think Kevin is full of shit when he says he took "Kathryn" from someone that he knows. He's recently stated that the intro music for Voyager makes him cry. The captain in the Voyager series is named Kathryn. Not Catherine, not Katherine, but Kathryn. When he mentioned the Voyager intro music thing I looked it up, figured this is where he got his name from too. Also the names Kevin and Kathryn are similar. These are the reasons I think he chose the name he chose.

Well, while how much you pay for your surgeon isn't the best indicator of quality...
...you generally don't want to just automatically go for the lowest bidder.
Kev's amhole would be a lot less problems if Kev had done the usual amount of research--even if you're taking full advantage of having docs who will refer you over. This is actually why shutting down places discussing bad SRS surgeries and surgeons is harmful to trans people. It's not even a bad thing if it convinces somebody that, y'know what? Dysphoria just isn't that bad. You want to ensure that people who do go ahead with it are well-informed about what they're getting, how it can go wrong, and who they should avoid for surgery.
It is, after all, a one-and-done surgery. You can't get a re-do, really, if it turns out badly, or you got shit results. You can't get it undone. I wasn't kidding about our reconstructive surgeries being pretty shit, too, though they do tend to get better results on a virgin pelvis (as in, one that nobody's cut up already). My issues with troons and girlcock are actually a lot more with how rapey they are--I don't care what gender you identify as, rape is rape. It doesn't matter how you (try to) force somebody to consent, the important part is that they are not consenting.
Given how routine Tumblr was about trying to remind everybody to not be rapey, you'd think the Tumblr oldfags would have gotten the memo, yet they clearly did not.
I wouldn't be surprised if he did think Kathryn Janeway was a friend of his.

There was a time when I thought calling my dad "Dad" would have been awkward, and thus I thought I'd refer to him as "daddy" for the foreseeable future. Nonetheless, I'm glad I stopped being a prepubescent child and matured a bit. I'm assuming Kevin has drawn attention to Kiwi Farms and threads related to himself. If he's willing to complain to his online followers, it's plausible he's revealed information to his family as well. How they'd react, I'm not sure. But I would hope his sister has a good head on her shoulders and sees Kevin for the delusional man he is, rather than the caricature of womanhood he wants to be.
