Are you getting the vaccine? - Absolute trashfire thread, please enter with caution

This thread really makes me wish there were reactions on Kiwifarms that properly conveyed the ideas of "meh", "despair" and "just kiss already".
I wish there was a reaction that literally gave people the coof, so I could genocide all the retarded boomers and fat people in the thread. Let's be honest, most even moderately healthy people neither have to worry about the coof or the vaccine side effects. This kind of implies things about the people who've been autistically arguing about this since February.

I'm pretty healthy but I didn't want to risk it so I figured I'd just take my chances with the side effects. From what I understand covid 19 is pretty nasty if you get infected, even if you don't die from it. I didn't expect any side effects and was actually surprised when I got some. The effects could only be described as that weird electro-shocky feeling you get when you go off your SSRI medication without tapering off. It made me tired and I slept for a long time. The night previous I had contemplated calling out of work but figured they'd be sorted by morning and they were, so that was good.

Either get it, or don't, I honestly don't care, I'm just sick of the lockdowns, the masks, the mask-karens, the anti-mark karens, the reckless spending, the countless livelihoods destroyed by the government, mind you, NOT by the virus.

When did I become responsible for health of others? I'm not sick. I'm vaccinated, so why the fuck do I still have to wear a mask? More importantly, why does anyone given how easy the vaccine is to get?

I'm just waiting as long as possible. I honestly don't need it, and the longer anyone waits to get it, the more actual R&D will be done on it. I'd argue this, if you have a predisposing condition or are regularly around people who do (e.g. fatso, respiratory disorder, heart condition, old as fuck) you should get it. If not, don't get it until later.

We're not talking about everyone, we're talking about me.
The only person who matters with respect to me taking the jab is me.

I understand social cues I just intentionally disregard them because they don't matter. I'm not your friend and I don't want to be. Social standing is irrelevant to me on an anonymous bullying forum.
If you don't want me to disagree with you don't say things I disagree with. There is no "lashing out" lol.

I don't care.
If you don't get the jab the covid restrictions will go on longer but I'll bet you'll still bitch about them.

I was rather indifferent on the issue until I read people like @FEETLOAF preaching their cause. After that the answer is yes - I'll take it. Anti-vaxers are living proofs that you can have severe autism without taking vaccines so what's the worst that can happen? :)
Honestly anti vaxxers make me wonder how the human species has survived so long.

Well, natural selection used to be a thing :) During the Black Death plague people who went into infected areas and whipped themselves to appease God probably didn't have the chance to pass their genes and "wisdom" to future generations.

I got my first dose of Pfizer like a week or two ago. All I got was a sore arm for less than 24 hours.
Side effects don't kick in until the second dose for whatever reason.

Those restrictions are not scientific and make no sense.

It's been 2 years and we have a vaccine. Time to stop. Even before we had a vaccine, lockdowns were completely unnecessary. Abuse of government power, plain and simple.

The worst offenders were all Blue states. Lastly, we don't need every single person on the fucking planet to be vaccinated before we can go back to normal.

The governor of my state still has not lifted mask mandates despite the fact that every single person in the state can get a vaccine right now FOR FREE if they wanted to. Don't want to risk getting covid? Fine, the governor shouldn't have any say on that, go get vaccinated then, if not then don't.

I don't want to, but I will be forced to most likely due to covid passes coming with international travel.
What I love in democracy is that nobody is being asked about anything, they just dictate things and you obey.

If you're triggered about lockdowns, masks, you should be running to get the vaccine or else you're a hypocrite.
Yeah, I didn't do funny stuff with airplanes, I still have to suffer from the post-911 security. I guess people should have stopped trying to hijack planes with tooth paste. Oh wait, it was just an arbitrary bullshit forced on people and never going away. Same as the mask and lockdown thing.

Give them an inch and they take a mile, that is how power works.

The mask mandates are still in effect because 1. Not everybody has gotten vaccinated and 2. We still don't know if you can still spread it even if you're vaccinated because it's a novel virus.

They've explained this over and over again.

Dude even Blue states are easing restrictions as more people get vaccinated and guess what? We did the exact same shit we are doing now when the Spanish Flu hit 100 years ago.

Actually we do, that's kinda the whole point of vaccines.

Mask mandates are dumb. The government should let people choose whether they want to wear a mask or not, let private businesses choose whether they want to require masks or not. Forcing this dumb shit down everyone's throat is stupid. If you are going to have such a thing, at least let people who are vaccinated be exempted from them, that would at least incentivize more people to vaccinate.

Our economy is in shambles, all over a glorified cold. Oh yeah, and I'll just throw this out there: The CDC's guidelines are idiotic, and Fauci is a dumbass.

Both of these will be true forever. You will never vaccinate everyone, and you will never know if your experimental drugs really work.
Do we just wear masks forever?

That's funny, because the people who freak the fuck out about a virus with <0.3% lethality rate make me wonder the same.

Free states would like a word with you.

I mean it still is a thing on a purely scientific standpoint, its just that actually believing in survival of the fittest gets you labeled as a fashizt anti-voxxxer grandma-killer in this day and age.

Homos sapiens survived smallpox, bubonic plague, malaria, yellow fever, typhoid, and a whole host of historically unknown diseases plaguing us since before the first hominid, but somehow COVID-19 is the fucking end-all-be-all virus that is going to fucking wipe us out unless we stop viral evolution at all costs...
