The “traditional” aesthetic is based on religious nuclear families. Its been disturbing to watch the "Skeptics" devolve very quickly into the mindset of "If I don't see scientific proof its objectively wrong, I will let myself be open to any evil!"

That was a problem with the Skeptic Atheist movement to begin with. You need science plus a moral code, because of it's just science, you can justify all sorts of things because you are looking at people with drives, but not want to examine the consequences of what following those drives can do to others and society.
