Song is such a banger. I like kiara a little bit more now. This clip has been floating around for a bit now and I felt you all would want it: https://files.catbox.moe/1u74va.mp4. Check around 2 minutes and 55 seconds.
She still relies on calli yuribait till the point she cried on one her streamsIndeed, but looking bad Kiara was performing really bad at the start. She ain't pro streamers like Gura or Ame, or have any particularly selling talent like Ina's drawing or Calli's rapping. The only thing she got going on is that she can speak Japanese better than everyone in the group (which useless with one month ban) and Calli yuri bait, which she relies really badly at the start. There's also already a rrat that she was supposed to be HoloJP 5th gen and yadda yadda, so who knows what happen behind the curtain then.
I mean, I get it if you want her to say the gamer word, but is the singing part really necessary?Song is such a banger. I like kiara a little bit more now.
Mate, I also don't enjoy Kiara's spergery either, but that clip is from a month ago.She still relies on calli yuribait till the point she cried on one her streams
Interesting numbers, I had to look it up and they look legit. Among HoloEN Kiara is last in sub numbers but second only to Cali in terms of superchat $$. I'm guessing Gura and Ame's viewers skew younger or casual who have less disposable income and Ina has more artists who are typically broke.Mate, I also don't enjoy Kiara's spergery either, but that clip is from a month ago.
Talking about Kiara though, bet you didn't know that she's made more in superchats than Fubuki. Remember, KFP is not a cult.

Number on the left is total superchat revenue. Number on the right is superchat count.
Who cares. She's said "I don't fuck with you, you little stupid ass bitch" verse like 10x and I'm supposed to care that she said the "free my niggas in prison" verse just once? Like I said the song is banger no one would be upset if you said that during the song unless you're a fake woke pussy or just someone that really hates kiara. Then again I'm not white and grew up in a mostly latino/black dominant school.I mean, I get it if you want her to say the gamer word, but is the singing part really necessary?
This is literally the worst thing to have ever happened! The worst thing!I edited it down for easier viewing. Here ya'll go. (apologies for weird framerate)

It does seem kind of strange to me that Cover would deduct the cost of manufacturing from the talents' base salary. Would have made more sense to take the cut from the profits of the sale instead. Is this a common Japanese thing to do?It seems kind of fucked up to me to have their talents get no paycheck (or a bill at the end of the month) to fund merch. But maybe that's just the communist in me.
They also take a cut out of the profits, there is no way they would give that up. She isn't paying the full cost of production, so it's more something like you pay 50% of the costs and get 50% of the revenue (the VAs probably get a better deal than that). It does seem kind of strange to me that Cover would deduct the cost of manufacturing from the talents' base salary. If it's unilaterally imposed then it's shitty as fuck, nobody should have to pay to work. I hope this is not the case. They also take a cut out of the profits, there is no way they would give that up. I just don't buy the idea of the VAs being independent contractors. Hololive excerpts significant control over them and owns all the intellectual property.
I doubt anyone is forcing them to do merch runs. But you are missing out on a good chunk of money if you don't. None of them are starving, so it's more I just don't like the principle of it.If it's unilaterally imposed then it's shitty as fuck, nobody should have to pay to work. As an opt-in on the other hand, it's pretty much the total opposite since your employee now also has the role of an investor/shareholder.
Then I'll have to politely disagree, because I fucking love that they're allowed to take risks and make executive decisions in their own company.I doubt anyone is forcing them to do merch runs. If that is what was happening then sure. But Cover is very controlling of what they do. They aren't making executive decision; they are asking cover for permission to do something with cover's property. Then I'll have to politely disagree, because I fucking love that they're allowed to take risks and make executive decisions in their own company.
I'll cite the Asacoco plushie incident again. Kiryu Coco effectively told the merch guys "Your prototype is no good. Do it the way I specified." If that's not a managerial decision I don't know what is.If that is what was happening then sure. But Cover is very controlling of what they do. I absolutely believe cover has a limit on how often and when they can do merch (so as to not cannibalize each other). And we've already heard of managers vetoing merch ideas.
