I'd be fine if they said " we support freedom of political opinions, but this isn't a site for porno, there's the entire rest of the internet for it", but making being super pro free speech your whole thing then restricting what can be posted is disingenuous.I don't know if I entirely agree with this. Porn really has a habit of shitting up websites where it's allowed. Go on /b/ right now and honestly tell me it wouldn't be a bit better without all the non-stop porn threads. I know banning porn does disqualify a site from being "free speech", but it does often make the experience better for non-coombrains, so this is something I'm a bit conflicted on. Maybe just stop marketing these centralized twitter alternatives as being pro-free speech, idk.
I do agree with Jack Awful, in that conservatives only care about freedom of speech because they're the ones being censored right now and liberals are only against it because they aren't being censored. Just look at mid 20th century america if you need any more evidence of that.
I am obligated to also say that the left is also bad. There's a difference between "you have the right to say that, but not here" and "no one should ever have that opinion, and if they do they should be shamed and ostracized!" which is what Quinton says.
