I feel like the damage she did to her legs will just move onto her prosthetics if she gets them. Which I'm hoping she won't, at least till they give her more mental help. I know some hospitals do mandatory therapy after some surgeries, and this is a major enough one I wouldn't be surprised if therapy was a part of after care. Not that it would change anything, because we have a 100+ pages of her not changing.

Most hospital staff are way too overworked to remember anyone in particular or go out of the way to spread gossip about a patient (we gossip endlessly about each other instead). We also don't judge your lives, or change our standard of care because we secretly think you are worthless.

You're using quite the hyperbole, my friend. Nobody mentioned gossip- but hospital workers do talk about their patients with each other. Nobody mentioned judging- but yes, I would say you come off as naive if you believe hospital workers are above thinking less than pleasant things about the more obnoxious or difficult patients. Hospital workers are people like everyone else. Change your standard of care? Never accused you of doing so. I clearly stated that you provide the treatment you can regardless. Monitoring social media? Didn't write a thing about it.

Without powerlevelling: If you get one repeat hypochondriac coming in over and over to your clinic, you're going to remember them. If you get the same drug addict coming in over and over to beg you for drugs, you're going to remember them. If you get the same self-harmer coming in over and over again, you will remember it. If you get a fairly young woman coming in several times with all kinds of strange injuries, some of them extremely severe, with wounds that constantly reopen, grafts that are looking scratched off, nerves that have been severed on legs where the calf muscle has been moved to the front of the legs- you will remember it.

Other people with medical knowledge said it WAS a nerve. I don’t think most people here have seen the human nervous system, they’re not all tiny hair-like fibers. But unless Kelly kept it for observation (she may well have, actually) people are just going to keep debating it. I don’t remember her doctor ever confirming it was not a nerve, but if there’s proof somewhere I will stand corrected.

Well if you look below, that is a lymph node and what she photographed in that pic looks a lot like those two stringy things attached to it to me (which I believe are lymph ducts/vessels).

Ecstatic I would even say...its like watching a horror movie play out in real life. Idk ............ Her new Instagram is terrifying. The stumps bopping up and down and her documentary style of this is just wow. No words. Any normal person would be like oh fuck fuck fuck what have I done, and be like at rock bottom. Unfortunately I don't think this is rock bottom for her yet. Wanting to join amputee communities is maddening. Like, 99% of the people in those communities didn't do this to themselves, so when they find out the truth I hope they shun her.

Well yeah, "frequent flyer" patients to tend to get talked about, especially if they have a unique situation or they're rude to staff. But for the most part, it's a brief conversation done in passing.

And then we move on, because we're busy with covid and other shit. It's ok to vent, but would be creepy and weird to sit around and talk at length about patients personal lives/medical situation. I think that's all @Popoto was getting at; we don't go out of our way to discuss individual patients with staff who aren't in the immediate circle of care. Ain't nobody got time for that.

It was literally an entire minute straight of her hand shaking pretty severely while holding an ensure bottle and just like turning it from side to side. She also showcased what looked like a cup of coffee on her tray table in her hospital bed.
Something about it creeped me out so much, her mind is truly gone. Reality has to be setting in for her even through the drugs. I think that's how she seems so energetic even though she is on very heavy painkillers. The anxiety has to be extremely severe under the opiate fog. Even reading about her gives me anxiety. *shudders*

Attempted suicides are a great example of this, especially in an ER. Of course they're still going to give you a good quality of care, but they're not going to be happy about it -- if you want to die, why waste time, resources and a bed trying to keep you alive? Someone who actually wants to live and didn't cause their own medical emergency could be getting treated instead. It's one of the rare times where they're not very subtle about showing their contempt. Even visitors (and often the patient themselves) pick up on it. And they definitely gossip about it.
