Beat him by 3 and a half hours on hard.
Phail is such a pussy.

"OMG Guyz, thiz boss is so hard *snort* what do I even do? Die you stupid fucking idiot *snort* Ah yes here's a $0.01 donation from-"
*Also leans over and reads fucking gamefaqs almost as often as his donations and bosses comically miss every hit*
Its funny too because I made sure to clear out each room while also doing some backtracking stuff.

All the while getting chased around by mommy vampire milkers.

sorry gang, I'm very new to DSP's shitshow. I was wondering, do we have an estimate on how much he's losing a month now twitch killed his subs
DSP is actually making more money. Went from a projected $120K to $190K or some bullshit like that. However, the latter figure is based off of his 1st week performance and doesn't take into account his second week decline, but it seems like he's jumping up again this week so it's you know...hard to project.

Short term gain with long term consequence.

He lost a huge chunk of his revenue with Twitch gone, which ironically a lot of trolls utilized. Hes beyond fuck and friday will cause more problems for him.

Okay, so after from research, Phil could be legitimately in trouble. Like big trouble.

Essentially, PayPal is a US based company, therefore must abide by US laws. Easy enough. One of these laws that financial institutions are forced to follow can include this thing called, the "USA Patriot Act." Shocking, I know. Now, the Patriot Act is a broad piece of legislature so there's a bunch of small laws and policies that branch off from it. DSP could very well be violating Know Your Customer/Client (KYC) laws and or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, which both fall under the Patriot Act.

Now, PayPal isn't considered a bank, nor do they consider themselves a bank, but they still must follow and abide by the regulations of financial institutions. That means that PayPal follows KYC and AML laws. What we're going to particularly look at is the Customer/Client Identification Program (CIP). This was put in place to "better protect the world's financial systems in response to the September 11 attacks" and better ensures that a financial entity avoids being used by parties for money laundering by gathering information from clients and customers. This is important because it prevents the financial institution from being tied to criminals and terrorists, which in turn better protect the U.S. as a whole. What this program requires is that all banks are to verify a customer's identity using credentials like their name, date of birth, address, an ID, or other documents. To demonstrate this further, PayPal, oddly enough, has their own CIP in which they verify a customer's identity using much of the same measures.

So now that leaves the question, why does this matter? The most likely scenario is Phil simply gets banned from PayPal for violating their agreement. But the thing about CIP, it's not just a website policy, it falls under government laws. Violating KYC and AML laws could lead to felonies. It's possible that Phil could have been encouraging people to commit felonies basically everyday of the past week. If people really did violate CIP to make burner verified PayPal accounts to donate to Phil, would Phil be punished or the people? If you research it, you mostly see the organizations themselves getting punished for KYC violations because they're the ones not doing their due diligence, but the people they do business with are as responsible for complying with KYC as the organization. And don't get me wrong, thinking practically people probably put fake info on PayPal all the time. The difference, though, is that somebody encouraging people to set up fake verified burners to transfer money to a PayPal account that takes in thousands of dollars per week with a history of chargebacks looks shady as fuck and may even warrant a legitimate PayPal investigation (if people actually did it, ofc).

Honestly, nothing will probably happen past a ban knowing the pigroach's luck, but it's just a fun thought bubble; Phil casually encouraging people to possibly commit felonies because $100 a stream isn't cutting it anymore. He'd for sure be banned if PayPal caught wind of this though.

Very informative but Phil is not Al Capone. He is not a Teflon Don just waiting to get busted on something remotely related to the shit he's pulling so the feds can RICO his anus inside out. It's been established over and over again that the Powers That Be do not care about Phil Burnell because no matter what entity we are talking about they have bigger fires to put out than him every day. The laws that he is breaking, if in fact he is breaking any, are not killing children or funneling income to ISIL. This is another key component of the magical formula he stumbled headlong into and fell, gouty-footed and snorting, onto a pile of money. No organization which makes or enforces rules cares what he does. Not PayPal, not the banks, not the IRS, nobody. Not even Twitch; I'm still convinced they just got sick of hearing about him and what he got amounts to a slap on the wrist, albeit an effective one.

Phil is a tiny minnow in every pond you throw him in except his tumbleweed forums, which is Reason #3,176 why he will never amount to anything greater than what he's had in the last twelve years.

Imagine the reaction Phil would have if one day his whales complained in chat that they couldn't tip for some reason so Phil pauses the stream checks his email and realizes he was banned from PayPal.

He'd shit his pants.

I think that the biggest source of frustration in detractor minds is that, despite Phil being less relevant on the internet than ever, he's still somehow pulling in an exorbitant amount of money for pointing at and saying what's on screen. It's easy to forget how no one gives a shit about a guy who pulled in $10k in a month.
However, the fact that Phil needs to start an "emergency marathon stream" hints at a few things: He's still sweating, he's still a compulsive spender, and he'll continue to just demand more and more money. He missed a single day of hitting the Tips Goal and he flipped the fuck out.

@Cistern Rumbler
Here is a sponsored stream where I believe he went a full hour without a burp, snort, or throat clear. Tevin did a stream of it back in the day and even pointed it out, so I'll see if I can find it for the better experience than Dave's RAW gameplay, but nonetheless this should be it.

edit 2: tervin didn't archive it but somebody else did, big ups Morgana & ThePhantomTaxes

Technically, he's increased the amount of money he's taking in. I posted some data in another thread but the gist is that he was making roughly $120-$160 each day from bits and subs which translates to about $60-$80 each stream. His increase of +$100 per stream actually exceeds what he was making from twitch before, and in fact, many times he's been getting a LOT more than the $200 tips goal.

Phil is like Steven Seagal (without any of the talent)

Slowly becoming fatter and lazier with the same god like ego despite not being relevant in over a decade.
The only thing Steve had over Phil was that he was the better bullshit artist.

Like I hold Steve higher then Phil, the problem is that I'm not a strong man and I can't lift either blobs worth a damn.

Just went and looked at my paypal and if there is a function to hide your information I sure don't see it and it's not in an obvious place like say "privacy" under settings or where you enter your info. The only thing I see is an option to CHANGE the information, no option to make it not available to people you're paying.

Despite what DSP says Paypal is, at the end of the day, a service used by millions to buy goods from people who then need their information.
I've used Paypal for over 20 years, and not once have I ever seen a "hide" or "limit" information option anywhere (for personal accounts)

Edit: Business accounts expect you to have a real business name but yes, that company name can hide your real birth name, but probably still reveal your address as opening a business paypal account takes far more paperwork submissions.
Could he be talking about the 'permissions you've given' section in the Security settings?

I checked mine and it tells you which sites you've given full personal info permission to, and allows you to delete said permission. Anybody with a Paypal can easily check this for themselves.

That section refers to OAuth, not information shared with sellers.

This is true. Currently it's been pretty profitable for Phil since he lost his partnership how long this will last depends on a handful of whales. I'll start with the beginning of April (this is tips ONLY and I count the week mon-sun)
From March 29th- April 4th he made $1812
The 5th-11th he made $1118
The 12th-18th $1054
The 19th-25th $3606
April 26-May 2 $2041
The 3rd- 9th $2631

He lost his partnership lost on the 21st of April. I got bored and wanted to keep track for a month or two.
