Sure, but known and potential benefits of the Ebola vaccine probably outweigh potential risks in 12 year olds (if they are not immunocompromised, don't give it to the cancer kids, probably), why don't we give that to them? I ordered a set of five off of Etsy, they had three layers of cloth with a pocket for additional filters. I cut that shit right out. Now you can see through them when held up to a light source, and I can actually breathe. Luckily my job requires clear dictation so when I am at my workstation it comes off and stays off my entire shift except breaks.

@Gensou Hadou look on Etsy they do have ones that are made with a more breathable material - I was just in a hurry as I needed them for my new job. Search with terms like "breathable," "summer," etc. and the pics will show how thin they are against sunlight.

As was known from the beginning these vaccines are non-sterilizing. What we're now seeing is the virus mutating to avoid the spike protein antibodies, which was to be expected. We find ourselves in a situation where hundreds of millions of people have received drug therapies that will provide them protection from severe illness but will do nothing to stop them from catching and spreading the virus. This will potentially lead to the virus becoming both more infectious and more deadly, something that would be impossible without the vaccines.
It's being reported that the Indian variant has mutated to avoid the Pfizer vaccine. This strain is already in the US and Europe and will become predominant in the next few weeks and months. The good news is that there are enough people in the US who have natural immunity that a massive spike in cases is unlikely at least in the medium term. The bad news is that the folks who have received the vaccine will shortly be coming down with the coof and the pressure to go back into lockdown will be back on.

If they think they have this level of control over people they are on cloud 99. This statement should be run alongside pictures of all the thousands of mostly maskless people hugging and kissing outside the London pubs, and watching the whale at Richmond, or these dumb gov fucks could have been in my county, in the last year, where you wouldn't have known there was covid.
The only indicator was closed pubs for a few months. Mask wearing has been minimal and people meeting and mixing outside and inside, all through lockdown. We had a run of deaths right at the beginning , but they were centered in old peoples homes, or among the nearly dead, and a few thousand cases but deaths stopped before vaxing started and cases have been nil for ages(that is IRL but not according to the caseometer bullshit!). Uptake of the vax was so poor at my nearest hub, back when they were doing the more vunerable, that they fucking closed it for months. They got through the really old people and some vunerable 50 somethings and then it became more tumbleweeds than people wanting the vax.
It has been a real non-event here in this county. Probably because it is rural and more houses than flats and we have a healthy county compard to most. Farming, beach life and no heavy industry. Lots of outdoor activity and very few land whales. It is almost like fresh air, exercise and not being seriously obese have an effect on things.
Johnson and his cronies can get fucked. We decide when we hug and ,apart from a few spastics, that has been the case through this shit show.
