But hey, I'm sure our big city brethren can handle long gas lines, gas stations being out of gas, and fuel shortages with the same knuckle down attitude they've had about everything.
I'm sure nothing bad will happen and everyone will just get in line and queue up properly while singing folk songs to keep their morale up.
All Biden needs now is to break open the FEMA and COG stocks and start handing out 30 year old peanut butter, butter, cheese, canned meat, and canned bread to the poor, and hairspray to make a comeback and he'll be able to get to 89% approval rating and be crowned King of Earth.

In regards to unemployment, my state also went full commie and I lost an awesome tech job (along with about 70% of my company's workforce) and I have been applying and interviewing for jobs. Maybe I wouldn't be on this bullshit for so long if we hadn't had this lockdown nonsense and crashed the economy and hiring wasn't so bad. I also don't blame service industry employees either for collecting inflated unemployment than having to put up with all of this mandatory mask and quarantine bullshit for shitty pay.
A couple of months ago I had a pajeet tech recruiter try to offer me a contract job for a measly 40k with no benefits or health insurance and he was acting like he was offering me such an amazing deal when I was making almost double that with great benefits before Covid. Fuck that noise. And I totally want to go back to work if I can get something close to or better than what I had.
EDIT: Probably should also add I thought I'd never say this but Thank God I live in California, and that there's a recall election happening. Newsom wouldn't dare to mess with gibs (In fact he's promising to give more or some crap) over fear of losing the governorship.
