General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Just watched this clip and it provide quite depth into Lamy family;
- Dad own a company. Not mentioning what kind of business it is. All his kids doesn't want to inherit the business, so someone probably took over later.
- Elder brother is a lawyer, specifically the kind that work for the sake of poor people.
- Elder sister is a nurse, is slowly killing herself saving people in this pandemic.
- Raised by grandmother. Passed away.
- Mom passed away too, after grandma.
- Her family home is literally a mansion/manor
People in comment is jokingly say her dad might be a Yakuza. Probably not, but funny to think about.

Got me curios how many girl is among the rich folk. We know that the ID girls are most likely at least from upper middle-class, beside Reine who's literally Kaguya-sama. On the JP side, I can only remember Haachama whose dad own a company and send her to study overseas. Is there anyone else who's a princess?

Wasn't the whole Nijisanji does this like several months back?
Yeahp. Although Holo version is better imo. Both visually and in the '''''song''''' editing.

Was supposed to be a test free chat stream with a paid auto-translator but it borked.
Fun description she added: "Subscribe for more garbage!"

"overseas chinpo is very beeg"
"japanees chinpo is also 13 cm"

Lulu ASMR with Patra.
That 'konlulu' as a whisper at the beginning.

I've been noticing more and more Nijis trying to reach the overseas audiences.
>Gundou telling overseas people that their dicks are very big
Not kidding, those were exactly her words.

SHE ENDED AND PRIVATED IT AS SOON AS SHE SAID IT
LMAO

If Nijisanji is finally about to announce their EN group, strong contenders are: Mint, Nova, that girl that was a HoloEN finalist (don’t remember her name), and Hazard Hornet. They all graduated within the same couple weeks of each other. I’m expecting possibly 5-10 talents. I think Miki is a strong contender for HoloEN, but I don’t think any other indies that are big enough have announced graduation yet. I don’t think they’d do a very staggered acceptance, but if no one else graduates by the end of the month she might just be coincidental

Edit: Also, based on HoloEN girls’ roommates prior to joining and the popularity that Cover has gained over the last year, I would be surprised if anyone with less than a following of 10k got in, be it Twitch/Youtube/Twitter/etc

That's definitely noticeable. A lot of those are probably from their own interest too, when compared to the livers that did a single post on the subreddit and then fucked off. Besides those experimenting with the auto-translator, Akane was pretty much the only one to actually go all-in on that and post there somewhat consistently, while Utako did several English streams about herself (fairly different from your usual Duolingo stream), and tried a Spanish introduction too. No idea what happened with her plans to go on the subreddit, though; apparently she was set as a mod for a bit, but then vanished.

I'd been wondering about Mint and Nova; all I knew of them was when they did that collab with Pikamee and Lyrica.

Niji's in a bit of a tight spot with EN. If they'd moved before Vshojo they could have carved out a niche with EN audiences as being the less buttoned-down version of Hololive. As it stands now, they have to find a precarious middle-ground between le seiso shork and a cat girl talking about dicks and farting.

Also is there some kind of Japanese vtuber guild where they trade tips and shit? I've seen the typing auto-translator gimmick used by a ton of indies lately. Not that I'm complaining or anything but technological gimmicks seem to spread like herpes in the vtuber scene.

Wasn't there an indie vtuber that had a live auto translator and it worked 80% of the time? They also were dual language, ie. able to converse in JP and EN but for the most part the auto translator did most of the translations and it was pretty reliable. I'm pretty sure I found out through the vt subreddit and subbed but I cannot remember who in the midst of all the moonrunes now.

The people who made LiveTL and the HyperChat extensions/apps were actually thinking of implementing Live Auto Translation into their app. But some clippers got their panties in and bind and made them abandon the project which is incredibly stupid and selfish.

Their "Reasons" was worry that said translations will be taken as 100% factual, which you would have to be a special kind of stupid to think that. But in my opinion, it's better than nothing. For a lot of streams that have no translator, I rely a lot on Google's auto-translated CC's, and even though it's shit and only available hours (in some case days) after the stream, it's still better than nothing. But hey, thanks for the vote of confidence there Clippers.

Nijisanji May quizknock will premiere on May 18th. The theme is cat. There will be a surprise guest appearing too. I really really wonder who might that be.

As a side note, Trinity and Kazaki did a cover of the new Shinkansen robo anime on the main channel to promote the upcoming single. In 3D. Even Furen who haven't had her 3D debut yet. What the fuck. Also, only Kazaki dressed up for the part and ended up stick out like a sore thumb because of it.

No I don't mean this. It was proper small indie (or maybe now medium sized) who had their own working live translation. None of that "speaks in JP, translate what was spoken in EN". A proper subtitle box underneath them that the machine did the translations and was fairly accurate. Gotta find who now and if they're still active

Ofc my internet history doesn't go far back enough and my dumbass is subbed to ~1000 channels.

This indie I sub to use it. And in my opinion, if this is the industry standard of JP speech MTL, I can live without it. It's hurt just to read most of the time and doesn't add much to the overall understanding. About LiveTL, while they stop the plan to implement their version of the tech as part of their plugin, they do considering make it a side project that streamer can choose to opt in. Better choice in my opinion.

I found the reddit post. And unfortunately she has retired, completely nuking youtube, twitter is protected, only a few clips that don't showcase the live TL, and the wiki entry. From what I can gleam, she was part of a fortune telling company that went bust, thus the need for the character to retire. She has plans to return to vtubing but not sure when or will. Fun fact: is the illustrator sibling to Suzuhara Lulu.

On the topic of auto TL, I remember seeing it on the stream the reddit post mentioned and a few other streams. It was pretty accurate.

And in my search, I found this channel. Looks like they are using that speech to text to speech method that zendragondildo from Vshojo likes to use. But in this case its being done so the text can be translated plus they don't use that shitty susan/karen monotone voice, looks like maybe its passing through a synthesizer or something.

New post from Ichikara's CEO, with a possible date. https://www.reddit.com/r/Nijisanji/comments/n9wgqj/the_first_rule_of_nijisanji_en_is_we_do_not_talk/

So now it's pretty much certain that this is (probably?) related to EN, and that Riku (or his PR guy) really likes movie references.
I'm assuming T-24 means they are either revealing some info in 24 days (character outlines and the like) or they debut all at once. I have no clue now Nijisanji did their KR, CN and IN branch reveals. Might be interesting to dig through old threads hmm..

If we take T-24 to be shorthand for T-(minus) 24 (hours), like NASA uses for rocket launches, that means they’re one day away from the announcement. But if tomorrow they make a T-23 post, that means that its like you said, 24 days.
