Whoever this "DownFromTheRafters" guy is, something that affected their routine must have happened around the exact same day that DSP got departnered. His roster talent has spiked compared to all the data collected since Christmas 2020, and his 30DA battles played dropped dramatically compared to their normal playtime. Both the spike in roster talent and decrease in playtime are noticeable even across the past 4 months of data:

It looks like greener pastures. Wrestle Mafia is objectively better than Sons of Smackdown on most metrics, sometimes by a good amount.

Win rates: 91.8% all time/93.8% in the last 30 days for Sons of Smackdown, compare with 92.8% all time/94.8% in the last 30 days for Wrestle Mafia. I don't have a great sense of how difficult that extra one percent is so, grain of salt.

Total wins: 1.2 million in the past year/120k in the last 30 days for Sons of Smackdown, compare with 1.8 million in the past year/ 156k in the last 30 days for Wrestle Mafia. I intentionally omitted "all time" because it is not clear how far back that number really goes.

Rank in last event: 85 for Sons of Smackdown, 24 for Wrestle Mafia. This is a big difference no matter how you slice it.

Faction attributes (this is over all members): 88 million talent / 17k roster size for Sons of Smackdown, compare with 145 million talent / 22k roster size for Wrestle Mafia.

Battles per player in the last 30 days: 1,359 (45.3 / day) for Sons of Smackdown, 1,682 (56.1 / day) for Wrestle Mafia.

The other really, really interesting part is that they were both created 313 days ago or on July 2, 2020 (maybe a few days earlier depending on how the site's update system works, I remember hearing claims that there is something funky which makes it lag a day or two). I can't remember anything special happening in the Pigsphere around then but it's still an incredible coincidence that he'd join another faction which just happened to be founded on the same day.

I play a dragon ball gacha (wow surprise) and we have similar events that bring us competitive leaderboards. The amount of money you'd need to spend to stay in the top ten numbers in the hundreds easily, because if you don't have the ingame items needed to replenish stamina, youre spending a summoning item to do it. You're going against millions of other players on top of this.

Its even worse when its active competition that rewards consecutive and consistent play. The actual amount of money spent is probably more astronomical than it is now.

Champions is not a generous one. Champions is one of the worst ones I've ever seen in my entire life. You can spend thousands of dollars and get absolutely nothing except by attrition. Champions probably is going to take over one million dollars to 100% it at this point because it's systems are obviously malicious and meant to pay out as little as possible.

People like Phil who are absolute brainlets and refuse to get help for their addiction are the only reason shit like this is profitable.

Remember, anyone can get addicted, but only DSP-intelligence level people don't get help with it.

Seconding this. I've played plenty of gacha games but Champions is absolute bottom of the barrel, worst of the worst. You could pick almost any random game in the Google store and you would find something more generous and likely with much better content.

It actually makes me laugh every time I think about it. Every other game he has talked about at least has something going for it even Supercard but he somehow got hooked on the biggest pile of shit out there.
