Well, it's going to happen one day, but I do not think it's going to be a graduation, more like retirement. If they keep their characters, or if they do something else, then you are set. If they do not continue vtubing, then you better be prepared. But, never say never. You never know which vtuber out there could captivate you.

I think I'm fine with a retirement, like they've done it for long enough and it's time for them to let others take the Vtubing spotlight. A sudden graduation from either would just be a lil heavy for me. If it was a one-two punch ie. both successively after each other, I would be done. But if its a gradual retirement, I think I could still find some enjoyment.

And you're right, some other Vtuber could come along and my monkey brain will be like "Ooh, shiny". I just haven't really had that with any of the other holivers, niji never really jived for me, and alot of indies their rabid fanbases sometimes make it impossible to enjoy.

Nothing people were discussing what the deal was with Korone who's been feeling a little down lately and that led to some speculating if it's because of her personal life or the business side of things which is why there was some talk about burn out or whatever the fuck.

What I would like to see is a commemorative stream/talk show where a talent is shown in person and talks about the experience, high and low points and so on. If I had to pin Korone's problems on anything, it'd be the fact that she really just works way too hard. Very few streamers can do the kind of marathon streams she does while fully maintaining the happy kayfabe she puts on for the camera. It has to be really exhausting (both mentally and emotionally) and the longer she does it, the more she's going to look for reasons to rationalize why she's not enjoying the vtuber gig anymore.

She should really just cut back for a while and maybe even take a break.

There will always be off-days no matter who you are. Even (or perhaps especially) if your work is directly related to your hobby. Korone probably loves her job too much to leave on a short notice; if she did, she would have to consider the decision first over the course of several days, if not weeks or even longer, all while Cover panics so hard that you can see it spilling out of the usually impenetrable bureaucracy.

Her talking about "sad things" was on a stream in May 7th. Barely two days later, she is competing with the subscription marker to see if she can get herself to sneeze before it hits 1.5 million. She's not going anywhere, anytime soon.

I wonder what exactly it is that Hololive Managers do besides tell their talent "no" over and over. The redundancy of one manager only having 1-3 members too is kind of odd to me, outside of scheduling for in-house stuff usually the only time I hear about them is in instances where they've been told not to do something by their manager (Like Korone sitting up and playing a game for 20 hours straight, or Coco being told not to mention other V-Tubers.)

Tech issues, buying equipment, reaching out for collabs within Hololive and scheduling their own content seems to be done entirely by the talent.

The one managing Marine doesn't even have enough decency to google "Where can I send my talent to if they have high fever during Covid?" and practically left her to her own fate. Thank god Kanata is around to give her advice. Hololive management should stop being a prick and hire someone with a degree in competency already.

I think that was actually one of the cases where a manager earned their keep. It was a sponsored stream and she clearly didn't have it cleared to sing that.

Much better to have your manager send you a discord message keeping you in line than have a sponsor asking why you were singing some perverted song in the stream they payed you to do.
