I think it's the opposite.

I think the reason he immediately shut down discussion about whether he had the vaccine or not as 'off topic political discussion' was because he got the vaccine on a recent day off. He knows if he reveals he got the vaccine he would have to admit that everyone was right, that it was actually easy to make an appointment. And he'd have admit this after bitching and moaning for weeks and weeks about vaccine delivery in his area, how the scheduling was bullshit, how no one knew what they were talking about and so on.

So he probably wants to just immediately shut down all talk about it because he doesn't have to bitch that he can't get it anymore and he doesn't want to admit he was wrong.

Possibly, but I think Phil can and often does enjoy twisting a story about a slight inconvenience into a myth of a herculean ordeal. This is the man who gets excited to tell chat about his weekly grocery hardships after all. I personally don't think he'd be able to resist talking about it if he did get vaccinated, but I could be wrong. **Edit: not to mention that if he suffered even the most minor side effects then that's a perfectly good pity card he'd just be leaving on the table.

If you're going to talk about scams, all you have to really consider is the fact that he has given no set amount for his begathon goal. He's already said that he knows how much his mortgage is, he already knows what he owes in taxes, but he won't tell us the figure he's aiming for. It isn't as if banks spring the amount owed on you the week before it's due. It isn't as if the amounts you owe for things like mortgages, bills and taxes aren't the same amount every month.

What's so wrong with saying the amount? If you have money problems, bills need paying and you turn to someone for help, you say "Hey man, I need to pay $X for this thing, can you help me out?" What is super fucking sus is saying "Hey man, I need to pay for this thing, just give me everything you can."

He's just raking in the cash at this point. Nobody can sit there and say, with total conviction, that everything he has been given in the last 2 weeks isn't enough to cover one month's mortgage payment.

I think it's also because Tevin shows his face and is therefore easily humanized compared to most restreamers who hide their face.

Do you guys think a cold sweat gripped Khet as she stumbled across the dextero article, and the panic set in that she is married to that creep? The reality has to be weighing heavy that everyday she waits to file for divorce the pigfortune shrinks, her settlement shrinks, her future prospects shrink, along with her fond memories of a simpler time. Riding in subaruman's hoopdie, bass blaring.

dave thinks everything he says on stream somehow makes it to whoever he's talking to

he always expects someone at twitch/youtube to hear his shitty take on whatever he's talking about, so we can only assume tevin was sent a pigeon with dave's congrats on the 1k subs

There’s no chance it didn’t hit her in some way shape or form. Crying over the twitch thing (if that’s indeed happened) shows she is paying attention.

I hadn't considered that potential, but when you bring it up, it sounds like a remix of Leanna's last days. The Incident was kind of an embarrassment for her too. If any of her work friends found out, she would have to have been mortified, and her appearances on stream after that were more combative.

I think a repeat of the Fall of Leanna is one of Phil's greatest fears. Phil can't shield Khet from it. I don't know what dextero's reach is, but that clickbait article is going to be up for a while, Khet works retail, and ostensibly talks to friends and family outside the Wakhando, too. Someone is going to stumble upon it and ask if that's her husband.

Exactly. Another blow of losing yet another wife /mother figure would be a huge shake up to his “mature”, better than you adult fantasy that thrives in his head.

All it would take is for someone to ask her what her husband does (reasonable question).
And then when she tells them he's a streamer, they'll ask what his name is (reasonable question from someone between the ages 18 - 40).
When they get home, they'll google his name thinking they're going to tune in to some chill vidya but all they need to do is scroll down on page 1 to see the article.
