It is way better than the Patriots that served around the Gulf War. Also a lot cheaper per missile too. Ultimately all defenses can be overwhelmed by spamming enough, that is why nobody in a serious war waits for the enemy to make the first moves. On the subject of the veneration of Mary, praying for a dead person to pray for you is the hangup on the protestant side. Doesn't fit with the protestant estimation of the world nor is there example in the New Testament. Just assuming everyone is strawmanning it as "Mary-worship" is a misconception. Some certainly are, but the scholars don't just assume the Catholics are worshiping Mary and the saints.
