Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

A bit of an elucidation on my last post: The GOP is made up of three core 'blocks'.. The Trumpian-Populists, the 'RINO's, and the Libertarian/Economic Isolationists. The RINOs are currently experiencing a fairly large schism within themselves, and is usually what is Trumped up by the media as "The Republican Party fracturing" when in fact its just a schism within a subgroup.

The GOP Spokesperson needs to be able to speak for all these groups at once.

If they cannot, you'd see the groups they cannot speak for fracture off if they cannot rally behind an equally visible figure.

Well... Trump is HIGHLY visible, and so the populist wing gets to be spoken for by them. Leaving the Spokesperson to corral cats with the other two wings, one of which is experiencing internal turmoil. This role's primary purpose in this moment then is obvious.

A: Not to be hostile and work with the de facto leader of the populists.
B: To tamp down on and prevent a full schism of the turmoiled party, though losing a few members to save the whole is fine.

Joe's handlers really need to get a better grip on him.

Biden's resurfaced 2007 comments on Iowa, race, education spark backlash

Former Vice President Joe Biden, the leading Democrat in the 2020 White House race, is facing new pushback this week after a series of quotes from 2007 resurfaced online in which he said Iowa had better schools than Washington, D.C., while mentioning their differences in demographics.

"There's less than one percent of the population of Iowa that is African American. There is probably less than four of five percent that are minorities. What is in Washington? So look, it goes back to what you start off with, what you're dealing with," Biden told the Washington Post at the time.

"When you have children coming from dysfunctional homes, when you have children coming from homes where there's no books, where the mother from the time they're born doesn't talk to them -- as opposed to the mother in Iowa who's sitting out there and talks to them, the kid starts out with a 300 word larger vocabulary at age three. Half this education gap exists before the kid steps foot in the classroom."

Biden's campaign didn't respond to Fox News' request for comment. The campaign said in 2007: "This was not a race-based distinction, but a discussion of the problems kids face who don't have the same socio-economic support system (and all that implies--nutrition, pre K, etc.) entering grade school and the impact of those disadvantages on outcomes."

A CNN article about the Post report gained traction on social media this week.

One commenter wrote: “reporter: why are schools in iowa are better than DC? joe biden: lol black people of course”

One critic turned it into a poll so viewers could ask if Biden is or isn’t racist: “Iowa schools perform better than DC schools because Iowa has fewer black people. Black people neglect children & as a result the children develop slower. ⬇️ This is Joe Biden's 2007 idea on why 1 area's schools are better than another. #Biden2020 #Bernie2020 #Kamala2020 ⬇️

Some turned it into a reason for sarcasm: “Why do students in Iowa do better than DC? Biden: There’s no Black people in Iowa duh (2007)”

Multiple past statements from Biden’s past have led to online backlash this year.

A resurfaced 2015 video showing him praising former Vice President Dick Cheney went viral online last week, sparking criticism from liberals.

“First of all, I really like Dick Cheney, for real. I get on with him, I think he's a decent man," Biden said in the October 2015 video at the "Walter Mondale: A Living Legacy" event held at George Washington University and sponsored by the University of Minnesota's Trachtenberg School of Public Policy & Public Administration.

Stefanik has also said she will give up the position if they win in '22. Which at least sets her up to retain the spot if they win and people like what she's done, she proved herself etc etc. The woman is opportunist enough to know how to play the game. The position is to raise money and spread the general planks of the party. Cheney was terrible at raising money and spreading a message beyond bomb the brown people. This is how Trump won both times, he never went full conservative but loved his country and the people, and they realized getting 70% of what they want with him is better than 0% under a "severe conservative" like Fagola Romney.

Trump's Save America PAC is supposedly siphoning off considerable money from the main GOP in fundraising so that he has power to call shots now even more than just being 97% approved by republicans. Smug liberals will say it's a grift as they contribute to Bernie and AOC, but it's smart to draw the money away to where he can portion it to people he chooses.

These aren't even the worst things Joe Biden has said about black people.

It's just too bad he's such a retarded judge of character.

This is what we‘ll continue to see. No hyperinflation, but the price of necessities will continue to rise. You will spend more of your take home pay to get the same amount of goods you’ve been getting. Maybe even less. Of course wages will lag way behind.

People are refusing to work because they’re getting more on unemployment than what most service or retail jobs pay. This is clown world.

I look forward to whatever political theater they have ready to try and bar Trump from running.

Maybe we should just stop paying taxes.

1. You can't opt out of paying taxes because they fucking take it from your paycheck outright, so you are screwed in that regard.

2. I would not be shocked if the DNC has instructed the NY State Attorney General office to delay charging Trump until he announces he is running again, statute of limitations be damned, as their ultimate dick move to disqualify Trump from running in 2024.

I'm betting they'll fall back on Russia again.
