I was talking more about the conflict with Hamas in Gaza specifically. But even with the settlements expanding, they still don't have the courage to annex the west bank because it will severely damage their relations with many countries and might fuck up the region. The situation politically is pretty much stuck in a puddle. If they keep expanding the settlements without annexing the territory it could hurt them in the long run.

The vast majority of Jews in Israel are traditional mastorim, not reform Jews. They believe that orthodoxy is the correct way but they don't follow it besides basic rituals.
