It's already been discussed how Phil is totally unadventurous with food and disinterested in anything that is culturally outside of his own microscopic bubble. The latter was really drilled home for me yesterday when snowkarl_ tipped Phil with the message "Eid ul Fitr Eid Mubarak". Phil said something to the effect of "I don't even know what the fuck this says snowkarl, I'm not reading this." Then it was explained to Phil that it was a greeting said during Ramadan. How did Phil respond? "Why would I care about religious holidays?" What Phil fails to understand is that, thinking that because something doesn't apply to you directly it doesn't deserve any of your attention, is an incredibly abnormal and ignorant mindset to have. Even if Phil didn't care that it was Eid, a more normal response to snowkarl_'s tip would've been "Huh, I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip."

I genuinely think that Phil doesn't have any interest in going on vacation abroad and experiencing anything outside of trips to the grocery store and Kat's famous breakfast casserole. This further supports my theory that Phil's house is decked out with some super nice stuff, because if he's going to spend that money on anything other than WWEC, it would be on making his hobbit hole more comfortable.

I know that there are theories given such as DSP wanted to get Leanna away from her family or something, but DSP's cross country move is very understated in DSP lore. I still don't know why he moved to WA (short of "the first place that he liked") or why he left CT at all. It's not like DSP takes advantage of living near Seattle or has any reason to be there. He's literally made no acquaintances there in five years. His job means he could literally live anywhere in the country with decent internet speed. He never even attempted to rent or sell the CT condo (probably because he bought it at it's peak and doesn't understand how sunk costs work). It's just fascinating to me.

So I was actually thinking about this last night because I have mental issues or something. @darkwingosonichugorl brought up some good reasons, the Leanna factor being a big one, Phil cucked out for Leanna before they moved in together. I also think he was just high on money and felt like moving would be the start of a new chapter for him, he thought he would be moving up when he actually peaked just before the move. He lost consistent viewers due to about a month of no content and vlogs that were Philled with he and Leanna being obnoxious. Then he got fucked by a bunch of nonsense that he either caused directly or indirectly.
He thought that the money would keep coming and he would have the mobility of the rich. He probably could have had that if he ever planned anything long term. His biggest issue, more than his shit personality, is his lack of foresight.
I recall him having two other states that he was intending to visit, one of which being Texas (imagine the heat complaints we could have gotten, imagine if instead of his CHAZ/CHOP ramblings, we got power outage and snowfall rants.) but his trip to Seattle was a vacation through and through, the smartest thing Phil did in that period was not taking weeklong vacations to all of the states he wanted to.

Bottom line must be Leana wanted to. Phil has no will of his own, he has no goals or motivations. Anything he does that require effort means either someone forced him to or someone got the idea in his head. Another theory is that the guy that told him to shut the fuck up when he was screaming actually confronted him and he wanted to run away, but for this to be true he would have bought a house instead of another khando, so I personally think Leana wanted to.

If you want more evidence just go through whats available of their interactions. I don't recall any impression that Phil was really ever submissive to Panda. For a good specific illustration of this go back to the swatting footage and relisten to how they interact with each other. I think all Phil needs is someone in his real life, particularly a woman, to suggest something and he'll go all in. Phil has no self control, he's living a perpetual childhood. He spends all his money as soon as he gets it (WWE Champions) and doesn't possess the ability to budget to any kind of degree. Phil spends $3000 per year to get his PayPal money instantly instead of waiting for two days. He's clearly addicted, he clearly can't think into the future.

The qualities we know of him do not line up with secretly hiding cash. He could have easily had a baller wedding and hid it from people, he hid the wedding really well... I don't think Phil is lying when he says he has no money, I think that's correct because that's what happens when you continually spend it all.

Completely agree with this…he clearly has significant issues with his spending. Budgeting/saving just doesn’t make sense.
