Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

HOLY SHIT, HGS LIVES! Now, the question remains....will it be a trainwreck of epic proportions (ala Magical Girl Friendship Squad) or will it be....just a trainwreck (ala Steven Universe)? Guess we'll find out pretty soon.
It'll be lucky to get a sniff of SU's viewership and media love or a smidge of MGFS's notoriety at this rate. Most will just simp for it because of the mean "alt-righters" but it'll be forgotten shortly after it airs. The fact it's an all-female writing staff (for some reason) led by a man is also a red flag. It just feels like checking boxes rather than picking the right people for the job.

So hey, remember this chick?

The one that sends off every warning sign in your head about stupid wokeness and everything?

Now meet her parents.

To think I thought Michael's dad was an asshole for being so ashamed of his sissy son he'd make him call him Coach in public. Would you be proud if this thing called you "daddy"?

"Fashion trendsetter" bitch please. Joan Rivers, God rest her soul, would call the fashion police and fashion FBI on this hoodrat troll doll. 🚬

Gender Euphoria???

The fuck is wrong with these people.
First heard that phrase from Sophie Labelle(nd) and seeing it never fails to make me retch.

He'll never go away, he's the glue that's keeping the entire Nu-Animation industry together, one allegation against him and it's all over
Says who? If anything the crazy negro is the MatPat of 2010s animation: overthinking and oversharing pointless shit with an annoying voice.

I'm sure most in the industry tolerate him at best.
No no no, they tolerate Pan Pizza because they'd go on his podcast. I'm all but certain they ignore this guy.

Pan's a sperg, but he means well. I'm sure people at least empathize with him. Vox inserts himself into events so the people involved don't really have any choice but to interact with him. The SU Movie premiere at that one theatre springs to mind.

Venture Bros movie? Fucking awesome.

Venture Bros movie that will desperately scramble to finish up the series in light of its recent cancelation? Ehhh...
Doc and Jackson have said that they always hoped to end it in a way that wasn't too dramatic, so I don't think they'll answer every question. Just leaving it on a better note for Hank and Dean should be the main goal, and it sounds from the synopsis like that's what they're doing. But they'll probably leave it open-ended in other ways.

I'm honestly just having trouble thinking of a way to say goodbye to these characters that won't leave me wanting more. I think VB is one of those shows that I could watch the characters just doing fucking errands and I'd still be entertained. I knew it wouldn't go on forever, but man...it fucking sucks that this is it.

I hope we get some Order of the Triad action.

Oh yeah I am crossing my fingers that this will open the door to more. The reasons for its cancellation are still unclear to me, so you never know. There isn't any "the final movie" language happening yet. I just hope that whatever Jackson and Doc want to do, they'll be able to do it.

Agreed, more Orpheus and more Monarch/Rusty bonding.

You said something about a synopsis? Where's that at?

This was in the Deadline press release:
In the The Venture Bros. movie, Doc’s latest invention will either bankrupt the Ventures or launch them to new heights, as Hank searches for himself, Dean searches for Hank, The Monarch searches for answers, and a mysterious woman from their pasts threatens to bring their entire world crashing down on them. The Venture Bros. is created, written and executive produced by Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer. The Venture Bros. premiered originally as a pilot in 2003, with the first season airing in August 2004. The series aired 7 seasons and 4 specials over its near 15 year-run and was one of Adult Swim’s longest running series alongside Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
So just sounds like it'll pick up where S7 ended. Maybe Venture mom? Mmmaybe?

Aw, fuck, and I just saw James Urbaniak call it a "series finale." Welp. Hopefully the creators are excited about where it ends, and I'll make my peace. (:_(

wow so many brainwashed sheep tsk tsk tsk I'd almost feel pity for them if i had any left. oh well in order to liven things up here's another classic Ed,Edd, 'n Eddy quote:

YOU HAVE VANDILIZED ROLF'S FACE! AND YOU HAVE....AND YOU HAVE STOLLEN ROLF'S CHICKENS YET AGAIN?!

Are you stealing Rolf's soul with your film Box?!

Why of course not Rolf what gave you that impression?

ROLF WILL RELEASE HIS RAGE NOW!

man this is exactly what american weebs ripping off manga styles for anime conventions look like. Not full-blown tv shows.

Raye has jerked us and has been jerked around before and it lead to nothing. If the "news" doesn't include an airdate, he's officially a failure. If not, I hope @Trombonista unlocks the thread so we don't bloat up this one.
