Their trying to incentivize people to get vaccinated, considering the amount of people getting vaccinated are slowing down, and their remains a percentage who will not get vaccinated.

If I had to guess, I think that elites are pressuring on the local and federal level to get the population vaccinated, in order to help fix the labor shortage and get people out of their houses to buy their products and services.

It's retarded hunger games bullshit. And the people who dont give a shit about the vaccines are working anyway.

It's just a pointless waste of money. And the more the government pulls this kind of crap off, the more people will start to question and shun it.

Be that as it may, there is still a labor shortage, and companies reliant on a pre-covid state are operating at a net loss. It may be a silly approach to offer a million dollars to those who get vaccinated, but if the government can't force anyone to get it, luring them with benefits is on the right track considering their goal.

It's like getting or not getting the vaccine should be everyone's personal choice or something
It's cute when the pretend biologist doesn't even know about the concept of herd immunity and how important vaccines are to achieve it :story:

Next time you google shit to copy and paste to try and sound smart, you should add that to the list

Call me stupid but I would legit turn that shit down. my workplace was giving out gift-cards to people who got it and I wasn't having any of that shit.
Meh, I'd risk any side effects of the vaccine for a million bucks.
It's really not that risky, and a whole million is enough of a bribe to cause me to subside my counter-social beliefs.

Also because governments spent billions on these vaccines and particularly the tech, and companies like Moderna are riding on this tech being the next big thing for continual Covid shots, even mixed into a flu shot combo, so they (and like-minded competitors) can dominate the vaccine market and make potentially tens of billions of dollars in profit annually.
(There's a shorter 6min edit with much more information compiled from other posters, too, in this post here )

A lot of money went into it. A lot of money is supposed to come out of it. If no one wants to get the mRNA vax, though, that's not gonna wash, both for BigPharma profits and for the governments which would otherwise be sitting on piles of vaccines they can't do anything with since so many don't want it and it's gonna pass the expiration date, particularly because newer strains of Covid will make previous batches obsolete.

In a funny way I can see it like when a parent buys a bunch of a certain food which they think the kids will want and everyone starts out clamoring for it but then after a while the kids don't want it anymore. But there's still so much of it left. Are they just gonna let it go bad? That'd be a waste of money. So instead they start serving it with other food for new meals, or start dedicating a certain meal of the day to eating that food, or they tell the kids how healthy it is to eat this particular food because, hey, you don't want the money you spent to have been for nothing.

I was kind of worried about getting the vaccine because when people talked about "getting sick" I wasn't sure if they meant "weaker covid" sick or "I just puked up a kidney" sick. But I got the Pfizer vaccine yesterday and I'm more or less perfectly fine. I'm having arm soreness, but not bad enough that I wasn't able to work out today.
I pretty much need to be vaccinated to return to the place where I volunteer, they stopped having volunteers come in while the case counts in my area were really high and thankfully it wasn't when we have a lot of work to do. It's a wildlife clinic, and our workload is seasonal. We're about to enter baby season so the clinic will get slammed and anyone who is healthy and fully vaccinated will need to be available.

Vaccine developers at BigPharma aren't the only ones refocusing on a new market product. Seems like tech companies are starting into a new industry of information gathering and utilization for digital vaccine passports. Gotta show off what vaccine you took and when, and have your test results or vaccination record in a centralized system, if you want to fly a plane, go to school or go to work.

Edit: lol If the "It's for our health!" line catches enough wind like it did with some posters ITT then I can imagine common citizenry ending up with the funny tech they want in naval soldiers, just to make sure they can prevent any future pandemics.

Oh boy can't wait for this database to get leaked so it can join every other piece of info about me floating out there from every other centralized databases getting hacked and leaked.

I like how we collectively went from "You are a literal fucking conspiracy theorist for EVER thinking a chip or a vaccine passport would be created" to "stop being a pussy, the chips don't actually go inside you, and vaccine cards and databases are here to help you and will in no way be misused, retard".

Short answer is no. Not yet. I was going to but when Hank Aaron died a few weeks after taking the vaccine, well fuck that shit.

Long answer is that if you look at Corona Virus thread early on I was one of the first to give out accurate information on how to handle the virus. When you owned a Successful Janitorial business that worked in different sector of the market, such as the Death Industry, Home recovery, as well as large corporate offices You have to have certifications in order to NOT GET SUED off of your ass.

I'm in a Red zone. Both me and my wife are high risk and yet we are just fine. But your mileage may vary. Billions are being spent on something that does indeed take time to work out all of the issues of the vaccine.

I'll wait a bit longer before I decide to take one

The OP's question now has a new context apparently according to the President:

For the deaf, the main quotes:
President Biden said:
"If you are fully vaccinated you no longer need to wear a mask. But if you have not been vaccinated or if you're getting a two-shot vaccine and haven't gotten your second shot, or if you haven't waited your full two weeks after your second shot, you still need to wear a mask. Look, we've gotten this far. Please protect yourself until you've gotten to the finish line. Because as great as this announcement is today, we don't want to let up. We all know how tough this virus has been. The safest thing for the country is for everyone to get vaccinated."
They really do want literally every single human being vaccinated or else you have to wear a mask.
President Biden said:
The rule is simple: Get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do. It's vax-ed, or masked. Get vaccinated. If you're vaccinated you can be around the vaccinated or unvaccinated people. But if you're not vaccinated or not fully vaccinated you should wear a mask for your own protection and the protection of unvaccinated people. The choice is yours."
Hell of a choice. Now I'm starting to see why some people were comparing this to the Nazi's stars. lol But don't worry, the President actually took the time to tell the country not to bully the filthy Juden mask-wearers.
President Biden said:
"There's still unvaccinated people under the age of 65. So all of us, let's be patient. Patient with other people. You know, some may say just feel more comfortable continuing to wear a mask--they may feel that way, so if you're someone with a mask--if you see them, please treat them with kindness and respect.
The fact that he or his speech writers felt the need to have to say this aloud, as if to implore people not to go uber-vax Karen on anyone masked, is insane. What's more insane is that the need to say it is real.
