Clashes between Jews and Palestinians in Jerusalem. Israel now invading Gaza according to (Questionable) Reports - If your thoughts are "I don't like either" you don't need to fucking post because it's been said 100 times you fucking dullard

I've been kinda out of the loop for a while. I've tried to figure out what's been going on and this is what I've pieced together so far:
1. Palestinians (Hamas) fired rockets from the Gaza strip into Israel.
2. Israel started firing missiles into Gaza.
3. Israel sent soldiers into Gaza
4. Palestinian groups are now attacking Israelis.
Did I get this right? Also what was the cause of the rockets being fired in the first place?

Hardcore pacifism is the way to go, because it isn't pacifism, it's understanding that you have no political or military power and knowing how to abuse that fact like a weapon. If Muslims were blowing themselves up, but like, in a way that doesn't kill other people, the narrative would shift dramatically overnight.
Throw in an offer to preferentially work with anyone who isn't the Jews and bails you out regardless of who they are ("don't you want all this oil!?"), and say that all you want is peace and self-determination, and you're 2/3rds of the nations that successfully invented themselves during the 20th century.
In some ways this strategy was limited by press attention and domestic pressure, but now that social media is everywhere you can precipitate knowledge of atrocities from thin air, so the sympathetic public eye is more powerful than ever.
I really do think if the Palestinians kept quiet for a few more years, and filmed enough random or out-of-context acts of violence by Israel police/IDF, the Biden admin might have started flipping over relations. They actually hinted as much during the Al-Aqsa buildup. No chance of that now, lol.
Currently the Palestinians have no redeeming qualities outside of being brown and being oppressed. Most people see them as just another group of violent Muslims that hate Israel. If they went full Gandhi then maybe people would give a shit about them but of course not. Biden actually gave them around ~250 million dollars before this so maybe the world was warming up to them. Now, not happening. No government is going to give a shit if Gaza is glassed.

But God didn't build himself that throne
God doesn't live in Israel or Rome
God doesn't belong to the Yankee dollar
God doesn't plant the bombs for Hezbollah

(see my last shitpost)
Song's breddy gud. Listened twice.

Btw: the "[unintelligible]" lyrics are "well alright, fellas. Let's go." If that wasn't obvious.

-3. There's been multiple days of rioting and "rioting" in Jerusalem because the Israelis are trying to gentrify some of the area currently occupied by Palestinians, particularly homes that have been there for a bit now, not completely new ones. Palestinians hurt some people, arguably precipitating the violence, but at the end of the day more Palestinians are hurt by police action.
-2. Israel raids Al-Aqsa, the same Mosque on the mount that triggered the second Intifada, injuring and hospitalizing a shitload of Muslims in the process.
-1. Hamas says "do it again, you fucking wont"
0. Israel raids Al-Aqsa again, this time causing even more injuries, worshippers mainly women at the time (woman-exclusive worship time?? No idea, but that's what the photos seemed like, Islam is weird)
...
3. No Israeli soldiers are actually in Gaza yet AFAIK, just stationed at the border. Israeli land troops are shooting mortars over the border.

IDF beating the hell out of Palestinians near their mosque en masse and protests around that. Forgot why the IDF did that though.
To "quell the riots", somehow. I think the Israelis might have a real case on some of their actions, but their communication has been godawful. Inconsistent claims, no receipts or photos to back up certain ones, poor signaling with lots of clearly Israeli Nationalist "hurrah"-ing and talking about how they're just gonna demolish more residential towers in one tweet, then the next they claim it's a 100% organized and legitimate counter-terrorism operation. "Our goal is only to strike terror" indeed.

Edit:

Missed this post, bolded your observation here. Biden was already pressured to give them some cash before this happened, if they sandbagged and whined about big mean Israel killing a bunch of "peaceful protestors" and had a few random martyrs light themselves on fire or go on hunger strikes, they could have made a difference. Instead, Hamas is firing rockets, and it is winning themselves nothing and potentially losing themselves everything.

I thought there were some Arab uprisings in cities like Lod and Haifa before air strikes started.

This is what I got so far:
So if I'm understanding the brown people's hysterical shrieking properly this whole thing started off because The Jerusalem District Court ruled at least six families must vacate their homes in Sheikh Jarrah on Sunday, despite living there for generations because Jordan captured the plot in the Arab-Israeli war of 1948 and built dozens of homes there to house some of the hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees who had fled from what became Israel because either "Zionist leaders in Mandatory Palestine viewed 'transfer' (an euphemism for ethnic cleansing) of Arabs from the land as being crucial" or "the Palestinian Arabs departed in 1948 at the behest of their own leaders, and that Israel desperately attempted to persuade them to stay." despite right-wing settlers, whom no one disputes, trying to evict the residents ever since.

And the Palestinian refugees fled because the Jewish and Arab communities of British Mandate clashed in 1948 because the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine allowed the British to leave who willingly did so because in the two and a half years from 1945 to June 1947, British law enforcement forces lost 103 dead, and sustained 391 wounded from the Jewish Lehi (Fighters for the Freedom of Israel) and Irgun (National Military Organisation) movements who initiated violent uprisings against the British Mandate in the 1940s because the tensions between the Zionist underground and the British mandatory authorities rose from 1938 onward and intensified with the British declaration of their intention of giving independence to Palestine, with an Arab majority, within ten years, which was in response to the 1936–1939 Arab revolt in Palestine.

The 1936–1939 Arab revolt in Palestine was a nationalist uprising during the Fifth Aliyah by Palestinian Arabs in Mandatory Palestine against the British administration of the Palestine Mandate, demanding Arab independence and the end of the policy of open-ended Jewish immigration and land purchases with the stated goal of establishing a "Jewish National Home". This land purchase & immigration policy was a combination of firstly the rise to power of Hitler and the Nazi Party causing enormous disruption to the lives of Jews in Germany and Eastern Europe, secondly the new British colonial administrator, Arthur Wauchope, who was pro-Zionist, and lastly the United States deciding to condense immigration, even during the period of the Fifth Aliyah the US kept its gates closed to the majority of immigrants, despite the persecution of the Jews in Europe.

In Germany, Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party, who came to power on 30 January 1933 shortly afterwards instituted repressive legislation which denied the Jews basic civil rights because.. because.. well, you know. 109 imaginative explanations. That is why at least six families must vacate their homes since they were built by Jordanians during the formation of Israel because the Lehi (Fighters for the Freedom of Israel) and Irgun (National Military Organisation) murdered British people mercilessly.

Bonus:
Hopefully it helps, its because of six families vacating their homes since they were built by Jordanians in 1948 if you want the TL;DR

Women worship separately from the men in Islam. Israel would have known this so it would not have been some mishap if they did raid at a predominantly female worship time.

The unrest in Lod and Haifa is current and didn't really start until yesterday. Air strikes started a few days ago now. Keep in mind the ME is between day/night for Europe and America, so the times are a bit skewed if you're just going by daylight hours.

Before the rockets started, I remember seeing at least one photo of IDF raiding an indoor location with female worshippers still mostly kneeling. No telling if it was pure propaganda or from a different incident, but I wonder how that even came to pass, regardless of when the photo was shot.

Lucky for me I don't care how it started. I just want to see how it ends.

If I'm remembering correctly, the tension actually started a bit earlier when some retarded Palestinian teens decided to start a tiktok trend of recording themselves assaulting Haredi men in the streets, and Lehava, a radical, fringe Jewish religious group, used it as an opportunity to march through the streets acting retarded themselves.

I'm almost 100% sure that the Palestinian/Arab Israeli rioters in Lod, Haifa, Acre, and presumably other places are doing so because they were paid to do so by Hamas, Hezbollah, the PLO, or whatever other anti-Israel terrorist groups reside in the Middle East, so I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep if when Israeli guardsmen crack their heads open for this bullshit.
