His federal taxes. That was when he held two begathons for tax money right before he flew out to Connecticut, did his surprise house marriage, and came back with an additional $4000 from Ma Burnell.
It says a lot about him the fact that the only time he can be bothered to put some planning into something is when it's greasy and selfish as fuck. It's also a fantastic example of why I don't put a lot of stock in the idea that without a gacha addiction, Phil wouldn't be such a grifter. Maybe his "need" for money he's going to spend on something else entirely wouldn't be daily, but it would still come up and he would still sleaze his way into getting it. He simply doesn't tolerate a bird in the hand with two in the bush, he's grabbing those other two birds with his free hand every time.

Question is: Would Phil once have learned to stop being such a shit if life had stopped enabling him financially a long time ago? Or would he just be less well off today, while doing the same thing?

And he didn't pay those taxes, right? I thought that was one of the contributing factors in the bankruptcy.

He's on a repayment plan for them. That's the $500 a month listed in his bankruptcy expense filing. I think the balance at time of filing was $15,000.
That was April 2019. It's been roughly 24 months since then, 500*24 = 12,000 dollars for back taxes that he's still begging for. So whatever he did with that money, it wasn't saving it up to deal with the payment plan.

Yeah, those were his 2018 federal taxes. He didn't pay his 2019 federal taxes either, but he hadn't gotten on a payment plan for those as of the bankruptcy filing because they weren't technically due yet. So he still owed $15,000 when the bankruptcy was filed from the 2018 federal taxes. Plus whatever he owed for the 2019 federal taxes. What it really means is that whatever money he got from his mom and the money raised during the two 2019 tax begathons was likely not used, at least in large part, toward the lump tax amount he was going to owe for the 2018 federal taxes.

I am glad I waited till now to make my vote, knowing that DSP is going to have a surprise bill of $4k that the court isn't going to take kindly him trying to skimp out on. Fully expect to see an $8k price tag on this begathon. Thinking the poll should be now how much of his marathon is going to be dedicated to making progress in the game vs breaks vs stalling and tipquisitions.

I wonder if the marathon is because he was blindsided by the foreclosure

edit: it took dave a week to figure out (mortgage + back taxes PAYMENT) - extra money he "made", but this figure will remain top secret until tomorrow

Going off these tweets, I legit think he’s going to ask for 4K.

let’s be real, if Phil said $5, us scumbags would say “fair enough seeing how many major contributions you’ve received this month.”

he literally expects 5$ every ~7 minutes during his non begathon beg-streams, what the hell is he talking about

edit: its actually 5$ every 5 minutes if you count only "gameplay" (and stalling and begging and banning) without prestream

Any predictions for how much actual gameplay we are getting today? Not necessarily time (I expect the time to be roughly the same as any other day), but how much of the game he gets through?

The real question is, how quickly will the fifteen-thousand dollars he’ll make the past month be a bannable and then forgotten topic? Will his whales ever be allowed a victory?
All pahsitivity may only be mentioned once, when Philbert acknowledges it on stream. Math is a forbidden art and a bannable offense, no warnings.
