I just realized how this WWE Champions saga is so absurd that it makes detractors genuinely want to see Phil succeed at something, namely at dumping all of his money in a useless gacha game.

That's because it's the biggest L that Phil can take, other dying on stream because of neglecting his health to ridiculous extent. If he turned out to have been squirreling money away so he can give the trolls the finger and retire in Tahiti, that would've been the worst ending possible for anyone who loves laughing at him. But the black hole is an addiction to the shittiest mobile gaming ever, which means he's exactly the stupid loser he claims not to be.
