I'll use pronouns as a courtesy, but at any point where it actually matters who is male or female (like sports) then we have to be honest and say no, they are not real women.

Never was one to consider myself a feminist, but I think I used to be more egalitarian in my views, generally. I also had more sympathy for transsexuals, and even supported their "right" to transition. Knowing what I know now, though, I find that transitioning is the last thing any of them should do. And any of them demanding acceptance by society should either be ignored or rebuked for their foolishness and selfishness.
So, I got curious and poked my psychiatrist today about this during the check up.
We previously discussed the gender thing as a possible cause for depression, but it was dismissed, but I asked them what would've been the process if I had gender dysphoria.
Their response was "well first we'd treat it purely through therapy and non medical methods and without medication. If that failed we'd start with medicinal solutions, starting with anti-psychotics and anti-depressants and ending on HRM. If that still wasn't enough we'd discuss breast implantation before removing your testicles. Finally of all else failed we'd try SRS. If all that failed I'd put you on suicide watch."
Notice how transitioning was left until the end and was done as slowly as possible? Because it's considered a last ditch answer by the professional. He even quoted the 41% as being "lower than reality" because apparently in situations like this too extreme of a response can be more damaging than dysphoria.
So ironically. Transitioning really is the last thing trans people should be doing.

Yeeeeah, here's the thing: I've known a few who are bisexual as fuck, and the transmedicalists also have, in my experience, been in agreement that medical transition is supposed to be a last resort--they're the ones who understand that, fundamentally, there's no fixing fucked up anatomy. But our understanding of dysmorphia and dysphoria is fucked over for multiple reasons, and not just the usual one of the shitshow that is the various schools of psych and neuroscience and some of them refusing to consider that any perspective other than theirs might be useful. You also have to deal with troons chimping out at efforts to answer questions like just how much gender dysphoria overlaps with intersex--this is actually a very important question, because dysphoria and dysmorphia are caused by the 'idea' of you that your brain has literally being off. If there's a strong overlap between gender dysphoria and intersex? Then we got a lead on how one aspect of how that gets set, and we likely could narrow it down even more if only some intersex conditions cause it. But this is getting into shit like the neural basis of self--and the things we really do need to figure out about things like how does your brain decide how 'you' are supposed to look. (BTW, if you're wondering why the overlap between autism, troons, and furries? Autism fucks with the neural circuitry involved in this.)
