Atlus HAVE given Nijisanji permission to play the PC port of Persona 4 Golden, though, as Hana Macchia and Noor both played it (though they were instructed not to stream 'the ending' which is a fucking nebulous statement given that the game ends 7 times).

They must've revoked the permissions because Hana's last stream of it is privatized. Adding to my theory to them revoking it, Kanda Shoichi from Nijisanji only got up to Kanji's dungeon before stopping 10 months ago which is long before any of the 7 different times Persona 4 "ends".

Been watching both Pomu and Elira. Anyone worried about them approaching horny goblin status like Nyanners initially, those fears appear unfounded (at least for now). The most we've got so far is Elira saying "Drag-on Deez Nuts", and Pomu making "PP energy" jokes and laughing at chat suggesting her fan group be called "PomuHub". We'll have to wait and see how their personalities evolve once they chill out and grow. But for now, they're worth an initial watch.

Pomu is going to go full degen within a few months. She's mentioned what the SKB group at Nijisanji (consists of Ange, Utako, Gundo, & Mikoto) regularly discusses being a factor into joining Nijisanji over Hololive (she didn't explicitly say Hololive though). Along with already talking about accidently buying an eroge and a doujinshi with popup book elements.

You can say what you want about their meme humour, but they've been a hit so far. As an aside, NijiID's latest batch average only half of NijiEN's current subscriber count, and given the fact that they've just opened auditions for Gen 6, it's abundantly clear that Nijisanji have grounded expectations of their branches.

As soon as the clippers start having more material with which to promote LazuLight, they'll continue to grow. Holo clippers have already taken a shine to them, so there will be a big overlap in fan bases down the line.

Sure, their popularity in the first place is a fluke, the whole industry is. But to still maintain their position showed that the talents and the corp worked hard to do so.

NijiEN, to me, is still something that Ichikara (AnyColor, God the name is retarded) that they're experimenting on. Instead of going mixed gender like they usually are, they went like Holo and go with all-female group, something to think about. And to announce a new NijiID right after World's debut? With an all-female group as well? And changing the whole company name as well? Something must be going on behind the scene, and I'm very curious about it

Forgot this, but as @RiverBear said, Niji spent a lot of money for ads, especially targeting Holo clips or streams. That last part alone shows they're trying to target Holo's audience, something that is a very different strategy they used for the home branch

There is also a single Nagu/wooperfuri art stream that was up but is now privated, iirc it was an hour+ of showing the coloring process with a tiny bit of her talking and sounding awkward and amateurish. I saw it on one of the Japanese vtuber "previous lives" sites. It's crazy how much Ina has improved. Edit: rereading it now, the site says Nagu used to do Illustration streams so Ina also has streaming experience, probably very little talking though.

This was announced about a month back, some context from reddit:

The Dokomi (Düsseldorf Comic Market) is/was one of the largest Conventions in Germany for Japanese popular culture. Düsseldorf has one of the largest Japanese communities in Europe, mostly because back in the day the first official German merchant, that was allowed to trade after the opening of Japan in 1859, was from Düsseldorf and founded the first German trading company in Japan. Even nowadays there is a strong collaboration between German and Japanese companies in the City and one of the greatest annual events is the Japan Day, which is going digital this year, too.

Regarding the latest numbersperging it can be treated as both ways. For debut numbers those are certainly good for the Niji girls; regardless of marketing (which IMO is something Cover should seriously consider more) they show an interest which can be built upon. Whether they are built upon is up to the girls and time (again I stand by needing 6-12 months to get a handle on their capabilities and shticks), but they aren't dead in the water.

Conversely, however, it's wrong to compare them against HoloEN's debut numbers. These debut numbers are predicated by the interest in HoloEN and wouldn't be possible without the audience HoloEN near single handily created. The only fair comparison will be when HoloEN 2 premieres as that gen will be debuting under similar conditions.

I love how this thread had extended periods of time of people speculating about NijiEN's success pre-debut by stating the Reddit promotion may not be enough, that their humour was cringe and making them look bad, that they were too generic etc., and then when one person decides to say 'Hey what they've been doing has been effective PR', suddenly it's numberfagging and 'nobody asked'.

Quick look at the participants list shows that besides Kiara and four Vshojo members (Veibae, Silvervale, Ironmouse, Nyanners) there are five people from Germany: Selphy, Fisky, Inis, Karen (she speaks three languages and her thumbnails have flags to indicate the language of the the stream - very neat), Fuyumi Toba, Merry is from Denmark and Lumi is from Finland. Taiga lists "Winter Wonderland" as her place of origin, so probably not Finland.

While nijisanji has like better track record(not even comparable) with male vtuber i honestly get why they opt for all female for nijiEN since i don't think their male vtuber outside japan is doing well, there is no standout . They don't have bora nun/hana macchia equal in their other branch for male vtuber.

Theres no specific male vtuber doing well, but the biggest male streamers are already soy "comfy" fake friendship club type of shit. Both niji and cover are sleeping on it. Just look at the minecraft or kpop fandoms. Get some Sykuno/Corpse impersonator and you dominate the scene.
