Because it is possible they could still spread it and they aren't sociopaths. I know sociopaths have extreme difficulty understanding why someone would do something that doesn't directly benefit them, but those of us with normal human motivations have no problem. Maybe they can't spread it, or it is unlikely. We don't actually know. But people with decency and concern for others are willing to inconvenience themselves slightly for the possible benefit of others.

I sympathize with your lack of ability to understand concepts like this, but normal people do not have any difficulty with this concept.

What's the ratio of benefit to others vs inconvenience to self that you are willing to accept? How outsized can they get before you go "uh, nah, fuck yourself?" I don't know but it's somewhere well below what we're looking at. In short, I'd make the same choice as Maher, who you might recall, is actually a bit of an antivaxer himself. We're also well below where I'd say the government should be going around forcing people to be vaccinated, by the way, at least in my opinion. I may personally ridicule the decision, but I don't think there should be guys with a gun in one hand and a needle in the other forcing the issue.
